ATI Live Review

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Today I attended day 1 of 3 days in which my cohort is receiving NCLEX review from an ATI rep. I am not sure how beneficial the review is going to be for me personally. I know that I will get what I put into it and I am really trying. However, the rep is quite lackluster and there are too many side conversations going on (distracting). The material comes straight out of the book and I can read that on my own. Unfortunately our school has made this mandatory so I have no choice but to attend. Has anyone else attended an ATI live review and has anyone went through Virtual ATI? If so, how did you like the virtual ATI? Was it better than live review? Sorry for all of the questions...just want a heads up as to what I am getting into. Thanks! :bored:

I did ATI Live Review; I don't know what Virtual Review is. I will let you know next week if I thought the Live Review was helpful...

Thanks JillzyC and thanks for the reply! :)

My school also had us attend the ATI live review. Fortunately, the representative I had was great and really focused on what we needed to know and focus on to pass the NCLEX. I took it today & have received the "good pop-up" - keeping my fingers crossed! I actually did a lot of my studying with the ATI Comprehensive NCLEX Review book that was provided to us at the live review and feel like it helped me a ton, considering it's to-the-point and very easy to read. During the review, try to pay close attention to strategies given regarding how to approach the NCLEX questions. The prioritization strategies that the rep taught us were great and REALLY helped me with the exam - focus on timing, acute vs. chronic, trends vs. transient, stable vs. unstable, etc. I found there to be a LOT of, "Who would the nurse see first?" questions.

As for the ATI Virtual, I did not take it, but heard it can be rather difficult. I suppose it all depends on your learning approach. I enjoyed the live review because I tend to retain knowledge better in a classroom setting rather than in front of a computer screen. Everyone's different!

Best of luck to you!

Wow MissNursingBee! That is awesome! Thanks for the reply and the suggestions. The strategies she provided us were a bit helpful so far. I do agree with that. Today was day 2 and it was a bit better. More informative regarding content review. We will see what day 3 brings!

Best of luck to you as well!

My school use ATI, and we did use ATI through out nursing school. I did the Virtual ATI after graduation. I got 98% probability of passing on first attempt. I took NCLEX and pass with 75 Qs. Please do the virtual ATI, it can be intimidating but its worth it. You'd rather take this exam once or how many times you want. It's your choice. I would advice people to do virtual ATI as the NCLEX wouldn't be that intimidating to you. Goodluck!!!
