Hi guys!!!

I've been reading your posts here and I'm really glad to have found this site :)

I'm doing Kaplan ALL THE WAY. No saunders, no mosby's nothing else. I just did my question trainer #7 and I got 67%. So far, my Q bank cummulative is 65%. Some say I'm ready...I don't know if I'm ready. Should I feel confident taking the exam next week 7/11? ( I know not to be over confident :nono:)

The problem with me is my anxiety..I worry too much! What should I do to calm my thoughts down? Thanks guys! you all rock! Congratulations to those who passed!! And those who are yet to take it, good luck and God bless us all!

I've had the opposite issue.I've been very calm so far and am starting to worry that I am slacking or something. I fear that I will regret not being more nervous or rather driven to study faithfully. I'm scheduled for July 14th.

I've been working through Saunders questions at work every day on my lunch break from work (get about 12 questions each lunch, sitting and discussing questions with my lunch buddy). At home I have some book like "nclex made simple" or something like that with more questions that I review at home (maybe another 10-20 questions there). So I don't know what to tell you. Everyone seems to say to stay calm and I do believe that it will help me to go in being calmer. Sort of like mental or emotional preparation in addition to the material content we study and use to prepare. Yes, I fear I am not studying enough, but I think everyone feels that way. I'd say keep doing what makes you feel confident in your abilities but remember to relax a bit too.

Hey i am also doing the kaplan qbank and my gosh! These are the hardest questions i have ever done in my life. I am still in the mid 60's percentile. People say that they closely resemble the NCLEX so far and that you are sure to pass. Still keeping my hopes up and praying

as the day draws nearer...I am really helping myself get calmer. and I'm glad that I'm getting better... I just pray to be anxiety-free on the day itself. I went to my testing center today, the girl there said I must be pretty nervous hahaha... I went there because our instructor adviced us to visit the place 1 week before to get the feel of waking up early and stuff like that. I like it! It helps me prepare and gives me relief from my anxious thoughts.

From now on I'm just gonna do a lot of Qbank and going over my mistakes. I'm almost done with it and by next wed, hopefully I'm well prepared. ;)

I think you are ready! Kaplan suggests a 65% on #7 = 99% chance of passing! Also, if you read through some of the posts here you will find that many people score MUCH less on Kaplan and pass! I am doing Kaplan as well. My qbank ave is only 62% and my trainer #1 was also 62%.

I test 7/18...have lots of trainers to do before then, lol. best of luck to you, I think you'll be fine. ~Jess

Don't worry you'll do fine!! I got in the low 60s on my question trainers (only did 5,6, & 7) and my Q Bank cumulative was a 64%. All I used to study was Kaplan and I passed last week with 75 questions :)

I know you don't feel ready, I didn't feel ready either and I doubt anyone ever feels ready...but you are. I was really nervous too, I thought I was going to throw up at the test center, but once I sat down I told myself to take it one question at a time and when the questions started they were EXACTLY LIKE KAPLAN so I felt like I was in my room doing some more QBank. I can't stress enough how similar Kaplan questions were to the real NCLEX question, don't worry!!

Good luck!!

Hi Jill thanks for the support! I've been reading posts and it seems that majority of the passers felt that they failed it for sure after nclex. But did you feel otherwise since the questions were familiar to you?

Hmm...well I got 75 questions so I knew I either did really good or really bad and I did guess on a lot but I knew there were some I definitely got right so I didn't think I failed. I didn't leave the test crying and misserable for the next 2 days, but I didn't get over confident either b/c I didn't want to jinx myself haha

So- I didn't come out feeling like it was easy and I knew everything, but I knew that I got some of the questions right so I couldn't have done that bad. Kaplan really prepared me well. I know I've said it a million times but the questions were EXTREMELY similar. Don't worry, you'll do great! Good luck!!

Oh my goodness! You're post reflected my exact thoughts right now. I am taking the NCLEX on 7/11 too! I only used Kaplan too! I will be taking Question trainer 7 tomorrow and I am so nervous as to what percentage I will get. I took trainers 1-6 already and each one has a better percentage than the last one so I am hoping for the best. I got a 62% on #6. However, my qbank percentage is about a 60% but I am not quite done yet. My problem is that I feel so overwhelmed with all the medications. I have Kaplan's "Medications in a Box" flashcards that I am still going through. At this point I don't think I can remember anymore side effects etc. Right now I am focusing on remembering all the essential numbers such as normal values etc....

and trying not to be an insomniac...and I am rambling. ;)

Anyways...good luck to you and you are definitely NOT alone! We are almost there!

I'm glad to know that I'm not alone. We'll keep each other sane as we wait for the big day! hehehe.. I don't know what to do the day before nclex...should I just totally not talk about nclex and relax or glancing at my notes is acceptable? AAAAHHHH.... 3 more days!!
