Am I ready to take my NCLEX??

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I graduated Dec 20th and I am taking the boards next week March 30th. I am soooooooo scared!!! What if I fail?? I have been doing Kaplan questions and I did Hurst review. My scores for the Q trainer ranged from 68% to 73%, I got a 73 and 69 on the last two q trainers. On the Q bank my scores range from 60 to 76 with 67 being my average. I am really exhausted and tired of all this studying . Just the thought of studying makes me tired. Do you think I am ready to take it? what where your scores and how did you do on NCLEX the first time?

I guess so let me know how you do BlueEyedGuy

I took the exam today and I am pretty sure I failed!! I'm crying right now because I got the only med calc wrong!! I did the calculations at home!! I rounded and I am not sure if I was supposed to round! I'm really upset right now...I guess I am gonna have to prepare to take it again...

Hey akemi2001, I thought normally nclex will indicate whether they want you to round it. However , if the math was pediatric math calculation then most of the time you do not round it but I'm sure you passed the nclex because I felt I blew it when I took mine and ended up passing so stay positive

It only said "write a whole number" it did not say "round to the nearest whole number" so I rounded because I was not sure...but I either way I still got the answer wrong because I calculated wrong! it is really upsetting because they did not give another one to redeem myself...not to mention I got so many SATA and drag and drop ...I'm preparing for the worst :'(

I studied really hard for this test and feel as though the questions did not reflect the amount of studying i did

Everyone feels like they failed, because the nature of the test is to find the limit of how hard the level of questions you can take.

If you get a few questions correct in the beginning in a row, then you could get every other question wrong and still pass (as in alternating right/wrong/right). I walked out of the test feeling like I got beat up and possibly failed @75, but I passed on Tuesday; license posted on the state board the next day!

Do the peasronvue trick and find out.

I understand! However I don't think that you should let just that one math problem make you think that you've failed the whole exam. Did you try the Pearson vue trick??

The last questions I got where SATA questions!! I know I failed this...and How does the Pearson Vue trick work?

Same here!! The last ques I got was sata also and I cut off at 163 n still passed so there is hope akemi. Sign on to Pearson vue website and click on register. It will ask for your information, when you click on next and it takes you to the payment page, chances is that you failed but if you click next and you get a pop message that says 'the system indicates that you have recently taken this exam. No more schedule can be made at this time please contact your board of nursing', that means there is 99% chance that you passed. So try it.

I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!:D:laugh:
