Most people see this pop-up when they passed; they are ineligible to retake the exam because they passed. Another reason a person may be ineligible is because they failed the maximum number of times. In some states there is a limit (usually 3 times) a person can take/fail the test without completing a formal remedial course; if this is the case in your state, you may have exhausted the number of opportunities to take the test without passing, so the pop-up is telling you you are ineligible to take the test--not because you passed, but because you failed the third time. If this is the case (and I hope it's not!), that pop-up won't change until you are eligible to retake the exam (either by completing a refresher course or waiting a period of time before reapplying).
Dear Patti RN, do you happen to know how many time I can retake NCLEX RN in CA without taking the refresher course? I was taking the test for the 3rd time on 8-8-12, now I kept getting the "good pop up" on PVT and I am aware of what you are saying and it's just great that CA won't have any quick result neither quick process to find out. I know it's only been a couple days but it's been killing me!
