ok, i graduated in may last year and took my first nclex in october (took so long because school ""forgot"" to send the bon my letter of completion and delayed my application for months!!!!!!!!!! my advice is take nclex asap after graduation please!!!
first try, all my other friends passed so i thought it would be easy and just did kaplan qbanks which some people told me that will be enough. and guess what i failed with 75 questions. i tried pvt and directed me right to the ccv page.......
second try, i took it in february, i did ncsbn questions, saunders, hurst lectures. i failed with 89 questions. and about the pvt trick, i thought i passed because i received a pop up but it was different message than other people was saying. so i found out that the exam should be in "delivered successfully" in order to try pvt trick. and by the evening it directed me to the ccv page.
ok, i felt miserable, miserable, miserable.
i deactivated my facebook, i ignored all the phone calls, txt msgs, and just stayed home. home. home. for months!!!!!!
but, we know that we can't give up.
we went through all those years in nursing school and that cannot be wasted!!!
so, i sat and figured,
i compared the analysis from the first and second try.
i had more "below passing level" in the second try even though the exam ended in more questions, which means that kaplan helped more with nclex.
then, i decided to go for kaplan again. i registered for kaplan on demand.
this time, i read the kaplan book, all question trainers, lessons online, qbanks (just in case if i fail again, i needed to get the money back so i tried every resources!! *kaplan=money back guarantee*)
i was going to take nclex in the beginning of may but i was so hesitant to take it because i was scared to go through it again. i postponed it maybe about 10 times!! anywy, i took it on june 15th, friday!!
ok, my thought was to go over 75 questions because i know i failed with 75 questions the first time. i thought the more question i get, the more chance of passing. but!!! omg it shut off at 75 questions!!!!!!!! i felt again, miserable, miserable, miserable, i knew i failed again. feeling depressed, crying, i came home.
i just checked the pvt just in case. omg!!!!!!! i got a pop up!!!!!!
it wasnt the message from the second try. it was the good pop up that everyone was talking about!!!! i am singing screaming joy with excitement!!!!!!
i could not believe it. i checked the pvt hourly. i keep getting pop up!!!!
omg, i can not wait 2 business days!!! to check on the official result!!!
i checked pvt again today and it is still giving me a good pop up!!!!!!!!!!!!!
people!! dont take it on friday!!!! you must wait 4 daysssss to check on the official result!!!!!!!! it is freaking my heart out!!!!!!!!
i am waiting for official result to tell my parents!!!!!! cant wait!!!!!!!!! :)
one more!! dont give up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

How come you have to wait till Monday to get your results? They don't give quick results over the weekend? I took mine 6/14 so hopefully I find out in couple hrs if the PVT is true!

the quick result pamphlet says the result will be available after 2 business days... no?? would be great if result shows over the weekend!

Congrats. I am a firm believer in the PVT. It worked for me when I took it and passed on 3 tries too. First 2, CC page, 3rd GPU msg.

Not to dash your hopes, but the pop up merely says something to the effect that you are not eligible to take the exam. Most people see this pop-up when they passed; they are ineligible to retake the exam because they passed. Another reason a person may be ineligible is because they failed the maximum number of times. In some states there is a limit (usually 3 times) a person can take/fail the test without completing a formal remedial course; if this is the case in your state, you may have exhausted the number of opportunities to take the test without passing, so the pop-up is telling you you are ineligible to take the test--not because you passed, but because you failed the third time. If this is the case (and I hope it's not!), that pop-up won't change until you are eligible to retake the exam (either by completing a refresher course or waiting a period of time before reapplying).
OK... I'm not telling you this to crush you or spoil your celebration, this is just a caution that you should not rely on that pop-up for any real prediction of your success or failure. I know of people who each failed a couple times, took the exam again, did the Pearson VUE trick, got that 'good' pop-up and celebrated madly for days, then found out they didn't pass, after all. It was truly awful for both of them.
Hold tight. Don't celebrate, but don't dispair, either! You'll find out semi-officially on Tuesday or Wednesday, then officially from your BON in a couple weeks. (The 'unofficial' results are never wrong, it's simply a disclaimer.)
Good luck. If you really prepared this time, had success on the Kaplan practice exams, and took the test with the same strategies you were taught, you probably passed. I certainly hope so!
