265 QUESTIONS and Passed

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I answered all 265 NCLEX-RN questions and fortunately I was able to pass it. You know how agonizing that is? Sitting there for 6 hours straight, your eyes and your brain all focused on the computer. When I reached item 75 I thought my computer's going to shut down but it didn't and it goes on and on and on until I reached that final item. Wheeeew. What a day! I think I suffered some brain damage after answering all those freakin questions. NCLEX was also hammering me with a lot of delegation, priority and infection control questions. I also had roughly 30 SATAs which is annoying because during my review I just answered 10 SATA questions correctly out of 50 items!

Thank God. This is over. Im proud to say I made it this far and Im now a registered nurse in Hawaii! But learning the nursing concepts doesnt end here.

It's stories like yours that I keep advising to expect to go the full 265 because it's possible you could. It's nice if it shuts off at 75 or at least early on, but remember that the more questions you're asked, the more likely that you're right at the pass/fail line and the computer is unable to determine with a 95% confidence that you would or wouldn't pass.

When I took mine and it got to #74, I wondered if it would shut off at 75. I then answered #75 and expected #76 to show up... and instead it shut off. That took me by surprise... But I was prepared to go 265 and 6 hours...

Congrats!! I had almost 200 questions i know how draining it can be ._.

I think everyone who is planning on taking the NCLEX should expect to go the full 265.

So if you get cut off at 75/85 cool, if not your still mentally prepared for the full run.

Congrats!!! You endured the marathon and prevailed :)

Exactly!!

I have seen more people post that they passed at 265 than failed, the computer keeps giving you questions until it can be sure with 95% certainty that you did or did not pass, If you get to 265 then you are close enough to passing all the way through to keep going. I am not saying that 265 is sign you passed because you can pass of fail at any number, but walking out after 265 is not a death sentence either. I also went to 265, it was awful and I was sure I failed...but I passed!

I am so happy while reading your post because i had my 265 q in 6 hours yesterday and i keep on reading post about same experience. I really feel that i failed :(
