hey guys i have been reading on here for a while but have never written! i just finished applying for the fall semester and im soooo nervous! i got good points... 3.83 so i got full points there, got a 90 on my reading and 64 on my math so about 10 and 4 points all pre recs done at wayne county and almost all co recs done (ill be finished at the end of the semester) so i am hoping that is enough to get me through but im so scared that i forgot to check something off or fill something out at the application meeting even though i checked it 50 times!!!! anyone else out there going for the fall start? maybe if there is we can keep each other sane while we wait for our email in april!!

nope your license has to be active... someone asked at our meeting... also they do not accept CPR license as that was asked as well.... only things like CNA and MA and you have to have to active license... i have been out of work for a year but worked for two in a doctors office as a licensed MA but let it expire when i stopped working and couldnt use it, i had a letter as well and she said it wont help me at all

That sucks. So what are our chances of getting in without medical experience?

as long as you have good grades its does not change your chances... i believe the lowest point total taken last year was a 77 and you get 60 points just for having a 3.8-4.0

I have a 3.6...

How do you register for the Application meeting(to apply for RN program)? Do you register on webgate?

At the recent information meeting, we were told not to worry about the point system because they were in the process of changing it. In addition, they have plans on changing the mininimum passing score from 75% to 80% in the nursing program.

The 80% passing score will take effect Fall 2012.

for fall semester applicants the points will not change... also yes you do sign up for the information meeting online... call the nursing office and ask them for the CRN number of the meeting and put it in like you were registering for a class

I called the Nursing office Wednesday. They told me they are "hoping" to get emails sent by the end of April!! Ugh!!!!! I hope so!!!!

"Hoping"?? Oh lorddd...

I know, right!!!! Why r they torturring us?????? Ugh!!!!

The 80% passing score has been in place for the last couple of years. 80% doesnt seem hard to get in pre-req's but it can be in nursing, especially because you dont get much chance for points, so you cant miss many questions. A lot of exams are only 25-30 points.
