Karmanos interview

U.S.A. Michigan

Published

I have an interview for Karmanos this week. I know that an interview isn't an automatic job offer, but I'm just curious about Karmanos for anybody working there or has worked there. How is it? What's your day-to-day like? Patient to nurse ratio? Pay grade for a new nurse?

Thank you

10,000 dollars??? You are for sure selling your soul for 10 g's.

Yeah...a sign-on bonus in this economy is usually a sign that something is wrong there.

No hiring freeze that I know of, jsut the opposite. Though you never know what Vanguard will throw our way!

Look like you just Interviewd for the HArper OR a month too soon...They just rolled out a big initiative to hire and retain Harper OR nurses...worth 10K each to the hiree and a person who recomend them over two years. So yes, they are hiring!

I would think that the bonus goes from the date of hire even though I was interviewed a month ago, good question to ask the recruiter tomorrow when I follow up with the Clinical Manager there tomorrow. If you know anyone that is looking for a nurse to refer I am interested. Anywhere I go that has a sign on bonus will have some requirements, it all depends on how extensive they are. Hopefully I hear from the Childrens Hospital RN Transition program this coming week. Thanks for the info!

Nope they said the hiree has to put the person's name in the box when they fill out the application. No exceptions.

Wow and I just applied for another position in the OR, well if I had a name I would redo the app wonder if that would work...

Any idea on eve/night/weekend differentials @ Children's or the DMC in general if they're all the same? Thanks, I'm weighing my options.
