  1. a_damsel, I have a ? for you. What differential is $2? Could you please tell me the eve/night/weekend if you know them? Also, where to you park, is it free, and how long does it take to get from the lot to CHM? Thank you so much.
  2. Any idea on eve/night/weekend differentials @ Children's or the DMC in general if they're all the same? Thanks, I'm weighing my options.
  3. Hi MuddaMia, I would love to PM you, but it won't let me since I have not posted 15 times. Could you PM me? If not, I'll give you my email. I do have a few ?s for you. Thanks, Ryan
  4. Hi MuddaMia, I was wondering if you were still at St. Mary's. I am from Michigan but I currently live in Massachusetts where I'm finishing up a 2nd degree accelerated BSN program. I called St. Mary's yesterday and got an interview for next Wed. It's a job on 4 East. Do you know anything about this unit? Also, any idea on starting pay/differentials? Thanks so much, Ryan
  5. Pavalarajah, Look it up online yourself. Why would we waste our time giving you "full detail" when you can google it and find out for yourself in 10 minutes?
  6. Hi, I just finished my first ACCEL semester at Curry and I love it. I think it is quite a bit cheaper than MGH, 38.5k vs. ?@MGH. You'll do your clinicals at the same hospitals, I'm starting at Beth Israel on Tue and the others are @ MGH. Then onto the Brigham and Children's for maternity and peds. So, good luck either way, but Curry is awesome!
  7. Please email me about the 14+ chapters, I had NOOOO idea about that until now; I'm freaked:( my email is ryancdowning(at_symbol)yahoo.es Thank you
  8. Thank you for the class schedule. I was not able to make it on Friday since I am currently living out of state. I got the packet in the mail today, and, wow is it terribly formatted. Some of it is nearly impossible to understand. I had been told that the lab only will meet for 7 weeks, but the schedule says nothing about that, what's the real story there? Also, what's the parking situation? Can we always park by the sports fields for free? The summer schedule is so messed up I can't understand it. It says MON4 wks Wed 4 weeks, I assume the first four weeks meet on Mon. and the 2nd four weeks meet on Wed. Okay, not too complicated, but...What about T/W/Th switch M/W/F. I just can't make sense of it, especially since how can we go to class and clinical on the same day? Then there are are three sections that say "weeks 6-7 OR 8-9" yet two of them are the same clinical "Nursing Care of Childbearing Families-Clinical." Did they explain this in detail. I just can't understand how everything still seems to be TBA. Everything seems to change from what they told me on the phone to what is the truth in the end. I was told it was approx. $22,000, now it is $38,500. I was told there was a six week summer vacation, now I see 2-3 weeks only. I'll leave it at that for now. Thank you for your time if you would please reply.
  9. Hello ACCEL 2012, I'm Ryan, 29 yrs. old from Plymouth. I teach high school Spanish but will be making a career change soon! I can't wait. Got my BA from Alma College in Michigan in '03. I was sooo excited, but after just reading the message boards about all the people graduating and not being able to find jobs:( What do you think about that? I try to stay positive, but we're spending tons of $$ hoping to be able to find a job upon graduation. Anyway, I'm gonna read up some more and look for ACCEL class of 2010 and/or 2011 to see what they're saying. Can't wait to meet you all and get started! Ryan
