Future RN's!

I created this forum, for us pre-Nursing students, finishing up our prereqs and preparing for the HESI and admittance into the Nursing program for 2015! Let's keep each other motivated and driven. We can do it! Hope to hear from my fellow school mates :-)

Wanna study for it so I'm pushing for March.

Oh ok. I'm taking it next Friday. :nailbiting:

Good luck and Keep me posted!!

Ok thanks I will.

I took my Hesi today and pass everything but the reading comprehension. I did not prepare for that section. The math was easy and the A&P was easy. So I'm about to focus on the reading comprehension.

You can do get! Can you tell me what to focus on for A&P it's been a while since I've taken it I hear the math is ratios and prepositions?

One of the questions was what's the other name for the wrist? Where is the tibia located? If you get a tumor on your pituitary gland where will it be located? Also studied the different neurons cells like which one will take over if you have a brain injury? When does ossification starts with the embryo? That's all I can remember right now. Yes the math did have ratios and proportions. But also know how to divide multiply subtract and add fractions. The conversion this was easy just know where to put the decimal that's all you had to do

SmithC! I wish you the best of luck when you retake the Hesi. I have a few questions... How long did it take to find out if you passed the Hesi? Was the reading comprehension section difficult? What suggestions can you give to others who are studying for the Hesi? How long did you spend studying? Thanks in advance!!

Hi dream 28. I started studying right after the semester. They will give u ur scores right after the test. But u will also see ur scores after each section. I had got a 92% on a&p it was basic but u must study the basic and they also mention the days between the menstrual cycle. I got an 84 on math which was ok. The reading I got an 74 I need one more right answer. If ur a drifter when reading like I am u must practice and try to stay focus when reading because its a lot of reading I could have passed with a 76 when one of the questions asked where is Thailand located but my nerves was bad.

And also when ur practicing math try doing problems likes this 1/3*4/6*2/5=

Thank you so much! I can't tell you how much I appreciate you sharing your Hesi experience! I didn't know you could see your score after you finish each section....I'll have to stay calm. Did you get to pick the order in which you took each section? Where all of the questions multiple choice? There is still no built in calculator for the math section right?

Please do not panic i think that's what messed me up because I took the reading part first and my friend took the math first and got an 74. And yes u can pick any order how u want to take ur test. Everything was multiple choice but the math had some fill in the blanks. Just practice all the math in the Hesi book and u will be fine because I think the math in the back of the book was harder.
