8. Question about hours - 36 for 40?

   I am sure this has been asked before but I couldn't find it....when you work 3 12 hours shifts, do you get paid for 36 hours or 40 hours? If you take on an extra shift, do you get paid overtime after you work the 40 hours or anything over 36? Thanks...
