What color do you wear?

Just out of curiousity what color scrubs do nurses wear on your units? I didn't know where else to post this and I am just posting it for fun. In my city nurses mostly wear navy blue all the hospitals standardized the color nurses wear. One hospital however wears maroon/wine. Also nurses have the option to wear all white. Anyone have an opinion of what color best represents nursing as a profession?

we can wear whatever color, pattern and scrubs we want, I love buying fun scrubs!

However, that said I worked at another hospital where the departments were color coded, RN's were light blue, Techs Purple, respiratory Green etc...I liked that and thought it was proffessional and made staff and patients know who was who. At my hospital I have no idea who is a nurse a tech or physical thereapy.

On my unit (and in my facility) we are allowed to wear whatever color scrubs we wish. I dont really care what color other nurses wear and think all scrubs look "professional" when they are clean, wrinkle free, and I can't see your undergarments. :D

RN's wear either all blue or blue with a white top. Except in the OR where the scrubs are the standard blah green.

We have uniform codes for certain departments at my hospital. The RNs at my hospital wear black and white, or a mix of the two. I usually wear either all black or a mix of the two. I don't mind too much because it makes it easier to get ready in the morning.

I'm in south MS. We just converted over from ONLY white. Now we can wear any combo of white, navy blue, or ciel blue.

RNs wear all white on my floor. I thought it was ridiculous at first, but you get over it. Plus, I used to think, "ew- what if you get ___ on it.." but honestly, I would rather be able to SEE the ___ on my uniform so that I can clean it off or change clothes (they'll just give you hosp issues if you need to change).. rather than not see it at all. Ew! LOL.

Honestly, the only thing I've gotten on me so far is a teensy speck of blood here and there.. nothing anyone else would even notice. I've been surprised at how clean I stay, especially being me & all.. ;)

RN's wear navy blue pants and white tops, hating the white tops always getting dirty. I miss the cute scrubs for all seasons and holidays!!!!

I'm lazy and so bought all black pants. That way, any patterned top I grab at 4:30am as I'm half awake heading out the door will surely match.

Some nurses get away with wearing fuschia/dark pink, but all the RNs in my hospital are required to wear solid white, wine/maroon/burgundy, or a combo of both.

I work at two different hospitals as of today. As an aide and a PCT. The one hospital I have to wear all hunter green. The aides wear hunter green and the RNs wear burgundy or white or a mixture of the two. For the PCT job I'm going to have to wear white pants and a teal top.

When i was in LTC/skilled nurses could wear any color top but white bottoms.... cnas could wear anything but white bottoms.... now in dialysis ive had to buy colored bottoms because it can be a well bloody job and darker bottoms dont show it quite as much
