The deadline is approaching! I noticed there wasn't a thread for this so I thought I'd start one. Is anyone else out there applying to Salisbury for the Accelerated BSN program?

That's great, Claire! Congrats!

Claire, congratulations! I look forward to being in the program with you. Here is my Facebook for anyone who is interested and wants to network. Good luck to everybody. It is not even the end of February yet. I'm sure there are more acceptances to come!Craig Tyler Mullen

Thank you and good luck to everybody!

Congrats Claire825! where are you working? that sounds interesting!

I'm so glad some of you are done with the waiting! For those of us still waiting for a letter, how are you all doing? I get a knot in my stomach every time I head to the mailbox followed by half relief, half disappointment when yet another day of no letter to be found goes by. I am definitely not good with patience! I hope you all are doing better than I am with this excruciating wait! :)

I've been away for work for several days, which really helped my anxiety. I couldn't check my mailbox and I was busy with the conference. It was a really nice relief to be away from the worry. But, now that I'm back, I'm also feeling disappointment and relief when I check the mailbox. For me, there are positives and negatives which ever way things work out, and since I haven't been accepted yet, I'm focusing on the positives of not getting in. There are things I'd like to do in the next year, which I couldn't do if I was in school. I'd like to begin learning a foreign language, and maybe train for a marathon. The biggest plus is that I'll have another year to save for school, which is more of a relief than I can express. In quiet moments, I am definitely sad about not hearing anything yet. I believe I have a strong application and I'm already wondering what I'll write my next application essay on. I put my heart into the last one and don't feel like there's much more to say. When I think of that, it's hard not to take non-acceptance personally. But, I'm really lucky in that I love my current job (yes, even though I want to leave it for nursing). I'll have another year with coworkers whom I absolutely adore, and that makes me really happy.

LotusBean, I have the same situation where there are positives to both outcomes. One thing I'd like to have is a little experience working around nurses. Chesapeake College has a CNA class at Easton Hospital in the Fall, so if I'm not at Salisbury, I'm planning to take that and try to get a little experience. That's so great that you have a job you love! Not many people can say that! And a marathon is a great aspiration. I ran the Marine Corps Marathon twice, and it is an amazing experience! There are also so many fun half marathons around here. Anyway, surely we'll get news soon so we know what we'll be doing next year!

Hopefully you all are more on top of this than I am, but I just realized that FAFSAs are due tomorrow. Get yours in!

I got a letter today. I'm on the wait list. So, I will wait some more. Sigh....

Does it give any info? Where you are on the list? If you don't hear by a certain date, then assume a 'no'? I'm at work, so I haven't gotten my mail yet. It's going to be a loooong three hours.

It only says that I'll be notified if an opening becomes available and that past experience is that openings can occur anytime until the first day of class. And that's it. Aaaaggggghhhhh! I'm so sorry I didn't wait to post later. I feel bad that you're at work and can't check your mail!

I'm actually hoping to not get a wait list letter. I want a yes or no decision. The thought of being strung along for 6 months is painful and stressful. Don't feel bad about posting. I like to know what's going on with everyone else.
