Has anyone gone through University of Maryland RN-BSN program?

I am a new graduate and looking to return to school in Fall. Has anyone gone through UMB's RN-BSN program/currently enrolled? If so, could you please share your experience with me. Did you find it hard or easy to balance school, work and a family? Were there a lot of papers? How were the instructors? Any information would be helpful?

I would be very interested in this also. I am interested in this bridge, online preferable; and was told by a colleague that there are no 'tests', only papers. Wondering if that's true?

I'm interested in the online program as well. I was also considering Walden University. I did an unofficial transcript eval with them. I don't need to fulfill any extra pre-reqs, tuition is $260/ credit hr and the program is only 18 months. Classes are every 6 weeks, one class at a time. I am really considering Walden, but wanted to look into other options.

With UMB, I am four pre-reqs short and they are $359/per credit hr. I am just trying to get some reviews from people about both schools to get some what of an idea. I know that there are a lot of papers involved and I am a little worried because I do not write well.

If you want online also check out Stevenson. They are expensive but from what I hear great for RN to BSN.

Ok thanks Jules

I will start the program at the end of the month. All i know is it costs about 10k and the school has a good reputation. Oh, and from the welcome letter, you have to make at least a B to pass the class.

meawy,

I know this is a delayed response, but how was the program? What was your prior GPA before getting in? What kind of work experience did you have? I have most prereqs for the program and am about to enter into CCBC's basic RN day program, but am thinking ahead into the future.

Thanks!
