In 10 years...

Nursing Students Male Students

Hey guys, just started the nursing program at my school. I'll finish up in the Spring of 2010. I got to thinking the other day about where I want to be in 10 years. For me, I'll be 34 and hopefully working in trauma, ICU, ER, or flight nursing. I'd also like to earn my BSN. Anyway, I thought it would be a fun question to pose to the other guys on here. So, where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Specializes in Taking one day at a time....
whiteole,

however, i've never heard of a BA in nursing....... :)

Haha, thank you. :clown:

I am in an ADN program right now, I want to transfer to get my bachelors after.. Isn't that a BA? Do I have the wrong letters there?

-still holding ADN

-getting borring

-having no life

Lol... Yeah! I second that!

Specializes in CVICU, ER, Flight.

Based on recent personal goals I have set, I'd also like to be at a healthy body weight for my height and be doing regular exercising.

Hopefully either a CRNA or Mental-Health NP. Those are the two areas I am most interested in. If not either of those specialties, then a family NP probably.

10 years... It is a while from now. I want to have my BSN, MSN, and be working on my PhD. I honestly don't know what specialties, though I guess I will have plenty of time to decide that. I am aiming to start on my ADN by next year.

If I have my PhD by 10 years, I would like to open a clinic that would be operated from a nursing point of view, and provide outstanding patient care above and beyond any other clinic in the nation. Also, perhaps starting a top notch nursing school. Who knows? I guess the sky is the limit!

Working in the ER, OR, or doing the research so we know what works best.
