Nursing Students LPN-RN

Hi there,

I was told when entering into LVN that there was a program in the dallas area that offered lvn to bsn in 8 months. The instructor that told me this transferred to a different location. I was wondering if anyone had heard of this. I am currently saving income so I wouldn't have to work during this time period. But i would like to get in touch with the campus that offers this program. So if you know of anything similar please let me know

The BSN is a four year degree programme.

How many university transfer credits can you transfer into this educational establishment.

I truly doubt it's a LPN to degree RN in that period of time.

I've lived in the area for the past nine years, and I can tell you there's no school in the D/FW area that offers an 8-month LVN-to-BSN degree program.

Every university requires a different amount of credits, but unless you already have a bachelors in something else you wouldn't have nearly enough credits to do so.

This is a salient point. For a school to confer a BSN degree, the student will need to earn and/or transfer a minimum of 120+ credits, which is not happening in 8 month's time.

Only thing I have ever heard of is RN-BSN in one year, which I am currently enrolled in, and even that is full time and pretty heavy work load. If a school is offering LPN-BSN, I would be weary of its legitimacy.
