i'm starting med-surg in jan and i'm not sure if i should rent or buy the book. i'm kinda leaning towards buying it b/c i feel like it's a book that would be good to keep for later reference throughout my career. then again....idk. maybe i should rent it.....?

online the $$$$ difference b/w renting and buying the book is only like $20, so the money isn't really the issue. i just want to know if buying the book would be a good investment.

help! lol

I always buy my books. I like to be able to highlight and make notes in the book. You cant do that with rentals. Plus, if you need to reference it you still have it. Its like leasing a car..why pay money for something your just giving back.

buy! i love my med-surg book. that 20$ will be nothing. it is a great recourse.

on a side note, i wish we had the option of renting books, i have some that have never seen the light of day, and some that were needed for one class and i will never ever use again.

good luck

we have a huge 1300+ page med/surg book which will be used during the 2nd and 3rd semester, so we were advised to purchase it. i recommend buying it, because you will likely use it again.

Buy it...I don't know about you but mine has so many useful things in it that I am sure I will reference down the road.

Just today when studying I saw a spanish/english translation guide in mine to help you learn basic phrases to assist a patient who speaks spanish.

thank u all for your responses. i decided to buy the book and i should get it in a few days.

(hopefully b4 class starts on monday)
