NCLEX study book. Too early?

I started LPN school 2 weeks ago. I know it's a bit premature but I am considering purchasing a NCLEX study guide. Is there anything in the books that may help me with my current classes? What book is the best to study with? I heard Saunders was a good choice.

No, I don't think it is too early. I haven't started yet and purchased the Saunders book as I hope to use it as a study guide for school as well as when I am preparing for school.

Good luck with school!

I started studying from my NClex study guide from day one. That was 1 1/2 years ago. I definitely think it has helped. If you use something like Saunders, it will teach you how to read NClex type questions and make the best choices. Your school will probably start giving you those types of questions soon, so definitely start using your study guide! :) Good Luck!

My school issued us the Saunders NCLEX review book four months after the course began. Perhaps you should have found out if your school will eventually purchase an NCLEX review book for you later in the year.

If you have already made up your mind and wish to purchase a review book anyway, I personally liked the Saunders as well as the Cliffs Test Prep (big book with yellow and black diagonal stripes).

I used Saunders book in addition to my textbooks/lecture notes. There were times when the material given in lecture was a bit overwhelming - I felt the Saunders book gave me the information in simplier, easier to understand format.

The Saunders book is best if you just enrolled cause it covers everything from the beginning (Foundations) to the end. I have NCLEX-PN Made Incredibly Easy that I brought when I first started school and it wasn't much help for the early part of the program. So I have been using the Saunders NCLEX book and it has helped tremendously with my tests and grades.

I used my NCLEX books for quick review. The outline format in front of the chapters is very helpful for tests. I didn't do the actual questions until the end of my program.
