How Many Lpn Students Made It Out Of Your Class

Nursing Students LPN/LVN Students

I just started lpn program in Miami, FL and alot of my classmate are failing there tests. I have about 14 classmates, from your expierance how many actually made it or are left in your class. I am afraid that I am soon going to lose half my class and I really have bonded with all my classmates. Is lpn program really that hard to pass?

Specializes in Various.

With 9 weeks to graduation, we lost another one this week...

Down to 17 from 27. I hope this is our graduating class. Graduation is June 21st and I can NOT wait!!

Specializes in Geriatrics/Hospice.

We started with 32 and only 21 graduated. It is tougher than you would imagine. :banghead:

Specializes in Dialysis.

we are down to 15. started with 45. only halfway through. lost about 10 to the MS1 class.

Specializes in LTC, cardiac, ortho rehab.

60 started, 39 graduated and only two out of the 39 didnt pass the nclex on the first try.

Of those of you who had lower graduating amts, did you all have to take the PAX test to get in? I ask because I havent started class yet, but everyone had to take the PAX and in every testing, only a maximum of 3 people out of the 20 or so taking the test, even passed it. They've had to give the test basically 1-2 time a month since January and they are still giving it (they said at our test that "if we all passed they'd be happy because htey could stop giving the test" so I take it they havent filled the 15-20 slots they need if they're still giving the PAX) I did pretty good on it, but it was really tough (I've been out of school for the most part for 12ish yrs) and if the rest is harder, I'm getting pretty apprehensive. (although simultaneously looking forward to the challenge! sick huh?)

I am taking my alg 1 class this summer though (Nursing prog starts Fall semester) so that I have one less thing to focus on during the program, so I'm hoping that will help some.

Specializes in Nursing student...graduation 6/28 7pm!!!.

I am currently attending LPN school, we started September 5, 2007 with 40 students, we are graduating on June 24, 2008. As of right now we have 25 students left and one may be leaving soon. I hope not, as he is a really good friend and is trying really hard. To all of you in LPN programs out there, good luck...it's tough, but keep your head up and always keep your goal in mind. You can do it!!! :w00t:

well, i started lpn school jan. 08 and we are at 19 from a starting class of 25. the clas that just graduated this week is the larges class ever! out of 15 classes so far!! 20 student! Out of our class of 50, 48 of us made it. We all were so proud of ourselves. Also there was a waitlist of 116.

Specializes in LTC, Subacute Rehab.

Out of the original 30, 27 are graduating, plus 2 from last year's class who were on their second try.

Specializes in Coronary Rehab Unit.

None, yet .... we only just started in March ;) But so far, so good - noone's talking of dropping out and everyone's doing well on grades........so...far...:D

I know it's hard to lose follow supporters but you just have to keep looking ahead. My class started with 47 now we have 30, we grad in August. It's just the nature of the beast.........it's how nursing weeds out people. Angie
