I just found out yesterday that I failed my boards again for the 3rd time!!! I seriously don't know what else to study!!! I feel like I have every book in the world and i really thought I did good on the exam...What am I doing wrong?!? first time i took it, i stopped at 85, 2nd time- 102, and this last time-205!!!...I really feel like giving up on nursing...can i please get advice on any really good nursing reviews out there? I've already studied lippincots, saunders, the hurst book, and exam cram...and even took a live 3 day seminar review called lifesavers, but didn't help...does anyone know any good live reviews that will really help me?I know they are a bit pricey, but i am willing to pay...i want to be a nurse already  i graduated a year ago!!!

I am so sorry you have to go through this!! :icon_hug:

Good luck to you, no matter what you end up deciding to do.

Hi, you need to study all the systems.

Im so sorry to hear that you failed. i took my exam for nclex-pn in january and found out i failed. it was horrible. but you made it through nursing school and you WILL be a nurse and pass the nclex. the second time around, i passed. i did the saunders cd and was doing about 100 questions per day. i also bought a kaplan review book. it was cheap, about 20 dollars. it has some questions but it is mostly strategies to help you answer the questions correctly. always use your ABC's, maslow and the nursing process. kaplan also has a passing score guarantee or you get a refund. hope this helps. good luck.

i am sorry about this ordeal.

it is from the board itself. i just passed my nclex-pn and their review really helped. their questions were very similar to my nclex questions.

also, please try to be as confident as you can on the day of the test and keep telling yourself you can do this. i must have told myself this 100 times. positive thinking really helps. then, after the test, you can think negatively again, only if you want. at least the test is over.

good luck and please don't lose hope.

I think that #1 you should not be so hard on yourself. #2 you do not need more study, you need help with a possible anxiety disorder. Many people have a hard time in this area. I would seek the advice of a medical doctor and let him or her know what you have been through. I have a friend whom also failed 3 times and he sought out help before taking and passing the boards on the 4th try. Good Luck! You can do this you just need some TLC.

Bless your heart.

Sounds like you have studied hard.

Is the problem that you 'freeze' up during CAT exams?

Maybe you need to discuss this someone. Can you speak with your tutors from school. I know you graduated 1 year ago but it is a thought.

Do practice NCLEX questions as much as you can so you are more comfortable with the type of questioning. I lived it morning noon and night until I could just about do them in my sleep.

I WISH you well what ever you decide to do.

I also think that anxiety is involved because it seems that you used every resource available to you. I would ask your doctor if he/she can prescribe something that can sort of calm you (not make you sleepy). I am so, so sorry to hear this!

i am so sorry! how are you studying? when i studied, i used two 5 subject notebooks and took notes and then studied from there. i underlined and highlighted in colors to help study.

Sorry to hear your news.

I didn't pass it the first time either. I took the report that they sent me with my weak areas and I beefed up my knowledge on those areas then I used:

http://www.amazon.com/Hurst-Reviews-NCLEX-PN-Review/dp/0071484302/ref=pd_bbs_sr_3?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1206408110&sr=8-3

to study for the second time and I passed.

You will get there. If you made it through nursing school you will pass.

I took my test on March 6 and passed, and it was recommended to me to use the Kaplan review book. It helps you to know which things to look for first. I like you have a fortune in other study guides and feel like this book helped me more than any of them. Good luck!

Damn....
