Hey everyone! I passed my boards wooo hooo!!!! I for sure thought I failed. My computer shut off at 85 questions. Anyways, it's hard for me to feel proud and excited because the boards are still reviewing my conviction record. Ive never heard of this before. Would'nt they send my results with a yes or no final decision? This is torture :( I have an expunged misdemeanor for petty theft yrs back. I have a feeling i will be issued a license, but then again I dont know. I'm not asking for any legal advise, just support or opinions :) Thanks

Many congratulations! This time of year it can take a while to get your license number after you've passed NCLEX due to the large number of students testing so its possible that it has nothing to do with your past. I know how frustrating it is to wait but I bet by this time next week you have your license. Again congratulations.

I just got my letter stating I was accepted for licensure! The waiting is over :) All things are possible!

congratulations! i passed my boards on july 18th. still no licensure. ive been waiting for 10 days and it feels like forever. sigh*

Not sure but if it makes you feel better, I know of a couple people who got nursing licenses with previous felony drug convictions. I'm not sure but I would have to think your state wouldn't have even let you sit for the NCLEX if they ultimately wouldn't give you a license. I can't remember how long it took for my license to come after I passed boards because I went right back into school and didn't want to work but I'm pretty sure it was a couple of weeks.

i called the office of professions here in ny. they mailed it the 24th. lynn has a point. they wouldnt make you go through all that. im sure they will over look the previous felony. just dont have another one! :x

bnt1 i have a question. Did the boards know about your expungement when u applied? did you check yes or no when asked if you committed a crime?
