I am working full time and wanted to take LPN classes nights/weekends or online. Please let me know of any schools that I should check out. I am in the Midwest.

I have not heard of on line courses of LPN programs, either. Most are given daytime during the week, at least in New York City. I would imagine that it would be hard to have an LPN on line program, because many of them are not CNAs or Medical Asssitants, meaning that they do have to have some hands on experience in a clinical site.

Good luck!

I am in Indiana, and the only thing I could find that was affordable was Ivy Tech Community College. I really don't think there is an online course for the PN program. Like stated above, there are so many hands-on skills to learn there is no way to do it online. Most of our program was spent at clinical sites. A lot of the people in my program found weekend op jobs, worked evenings, or took out student loans. Personally, by the time I was done with the program everything I owned of value was in the pawn shop, and I'm several thousand down in student loans, but it was actually worth it. In fact, I'm already signed up for pre reqs for the LPN to RN program. Good luck to you. You can find a way to make it work, though it hurts a bit!:nuke:
