Hi, soulsearchin', no it is NOT just you! Many folks have second and third thoughts about something as life changing as going back to school and for something as vital as an interest in nursing, one would be more concerned if you didn't have second thoughts. You obviously are grasping the importance and potential seriousness of being involved in healthcare in these times. Do what you can to queal those nerves. I'm sure that it's just pre-nursing school jitters. I could insert platitudes here such as "'you'll be fine...'" but don't truly know you...so that would be demeaning in a way.

I wish you the best. I, too, had many second thoughts before, during as well as after school. Just kept plowing my way through it, though. I finallly made it. Have been a nurse for twenty years.

there is so much responsibility in being a nurse, you literally have the life of a fellow human being in yours...people listen to you as of one having the knowledge and experience - it is an awesome responsibility but it is one that you will learn to fullful
