Help! Please!

Nurses LPN/LVN

Hello everyone! I am new and I need help in the worse way! Its a very long story but I will try to shorten it as much as possible! I am taking the NCLEX-PN on the 17th for the second time! The first time I took it I studied using the Mosby and Saunders books and CD's which really didn't help me! obviously! The letter I got from the board was in the small envelope and it stated that I nearly passed and to study everything again closely. It didn't really break down what areas I was weak in. Well this time I studied with Kaplan and Lippincott neither came with a CD. So I also got the Saunders review and Q&A with CD! Any ideas what else to use in my short amount of time left to study!

I went through so much last time not passing. I don't want to go throught that again! I have so much riding on this test! HELP! PLEASE!:uhoh21:

Well, considering the fact that the exam is so close, the choices can be to either go with what you already have or to possibly reschedule the test for a few weeks later, if it is possible and if it makes you feel you have more time to study things that are not that clear to you. I say this because I always felt that to suddenly shift gears within weeks or days of taking an exam may add more stress to you. Purchasing a different study guide, for example, may word things differently than what you are currently used to and that may be better or worse depending on the circumstances; if it is a book that makes understanding the material simplier, then, great, but if it confuses you, the confidence may be blown.

Most people seem to do well with Lippincott. Kaplan suggests great stragedies. Their questions are challenging and make you think, and Mosby is great with photographs (at least for me). I suggest that if you keep your date, to study and do as many questions as possible. Make sure that you read the rationales of the questions, even if you answered them correctly. And best of luck to you!

Thank you so much for the advice! I'll let you know how I do! I am going to get back to studying! :) Thank you agian!

When I finished nursing school I bought the Saunders LPN NCLEX study cards and they help alot and the questions are formated the same. SO, you know what and how to read the question. In the books and CD they were not helpful to me. The cards have questions and rationals so u can understand the information.

I have the Saunders flashcards, the Saunders book and the Delmar book... I'm only halfway done with my LVN program but they use the NCLEX format to test us, and a lot of our questions come from those books!

My best advice to you is to search the web. I'm sure there is a free site out there that'll give you a practice test and tell you where you're weak. Then study that! Study in NCLEX format though, do 300 questions a day if possible.

Good luck! :)

Thank You! WOW I got the Saunders flashcards and they have helped me feel more confident! You all are great thank you for all the suggestions and help! I am so glad that I found this site! Now back to studying!

Good Luck you all of you as well!
