Pay as a Kentucky RN?

I'm currently getting my CNA certification as a senior in HS before I graduate. I'm seriously considering a career as an RN in Ky. I've looked a websites here and there, and read a bit as well. But what is a salary range I could expect as a graduating RN with no exp.? Also, what is the job outlook for nurses in Ky? Is there anything I should know about?

Sorry for all the questions, I'm the first of my family to go through college, and just concerned about my future. I don't really want to go through college to end up in a field paying little . I have a handful of minority things I can put on any application that may help too at least lol.

I know that nortons starts there RN's out at like 21 dollars an hour i think. something like that. you'll never gonna wrong being a nurse. job security is not something you are gonna have to worry about. as long as people get sick, their is a need for nurses. there are so many different avenues you can take as a nurse that even if you get burnt out in one speciality, there are many others to choose from. good luck.

Pay rates for RN's in Frankfort, Lexington area are about 22.00-24.00/hr. I suggest getting your LPN to see if you like it. I was an LPN for 13 years before going back to bridge and get my RN. I took a pay cut, due to being at my position for 10 years, and I have never worked so hard in my life. I'm responsible for everything!!! Seems to be harder to get a job these days for the new graduate. Not to discourage you, I'd look into it before spending the 25,000. plus needed to start your nursing program. It is expensive!!!
