I agree with these posts about Davita. I left a Florida Davita last week due to a PCT screaming at me, from across the room, and the Clinical Manager standing there and not saying one word about it. That is just one example of how an RN is treated at Davita. I was told, by PCTs, that the only reason a nurse is present is for the license. That's the way they make you feel. We had 20 chairs, one RN, four techs. Anything over four per tech was given to the charge nurse. The charge nurse pushes all the heparin, pre and post assessment, deals with doctors, phone calls, labs and turns over a pod of up to four patients. It can't be done safely.

I'm an RN and I would love to know the answer to this question.

Pay rates for RN's in Frankfort, Lexington area are about 22.00-24.00/hr. I suggest getting your LPN to see if you like it. I was an LPN for 13 years before going back to bridge and get my RN. I took a pay cut, due to being at my position for 10 years, and I have never worked so hard in my life. I'm responsible for everything!!! Seems to be harder to get a job these days for the new graduate. Not to discourage you, I'd look into it before spending the 25,000. plus needed to start your nursing program. It is expensive!!!

I got on the CDC website and made sure I knew what diseases needed what precautions. Didn't use Cram Exam or Kaplan for that and neither really touched on infection control. CDC gave the most accurate information. (Center for Disease Control). As far as questions and content, I liked Cram Exam. I felt like it made me critically think and I loved the Cram Page that each book has that has all of the things Pearson says you must know to pass. I made sure I knew all those values and information. Hope this helps! Get on ebay and buy a used Cram Exam but make sure you get the disk with it.

I took NCLEX RN three times. The first time I didn't study at all, the second time I set in the Kaplan classroom and then failed again. The third time I took all the Q Bank questions until I got them all right. I also recommend the Cram Exam by Pearson. I did those tests in the book and used the CD to prep myself. I passed with 75 questions on the third try. I got 265 questions on both of the previous tests. Don't forget that the whole test is about Critical Thinking. Good Luck, you will make it. :redbeathe

I just passed NCLEX, after taking it twice before. I took Kaplan online and did all the Q Bank questions until I completed them all and then answered them until I got the question right. I recommend Cram Exam by Pearson. I think it helped me the most. I did the CD that came with the book. I am now an R.N. Best of Luck! Don't give up.
