Want to know more about CRNE...thanks ^^

CRNBC will not assist you in looking for employer. You have to do it by yourself. If you have years of experience in specialty unit you have high chance of getting hired.

When I took the exam I just focused on the CRNE prep guide but being an immigrant it is not easy to answer the cultural issues. Canadian exam is more focused on psychosocial issues. It is a paper test, not computerized thus it takes 2-3 months to get the result especially when they started incorporating short answers and enumerations. Goodluck.

I have just realized that there are some re-entry nursing programs in Vancouver for internationally educated nurses, just like the one in Kwantlen University College~ seems like it's one of the possible ways to pass the CRNE...though it's a one-year full time program (oh god~ it must be expensive!)...

whatever....I just want to work asap in Canada...~

Yes there are programs for IEN and some can be taken by distance education. It should be expensive since you will be considered international student.

You will not find old test questions available for that exam, it is illegal for them to be circulated in the first place due to copyright laws. Same thing with the NCLEX exam questions in the US.

hi! my opinion is challenge the exam before trying to take the re-entry nursing prgram.

better yet instead of going to a re-entry program why not attend to a review course that is focus on CRNE? I have friends in BC they are IEN too and they took the exam without taking the expensive re-entry courses. Now they passed the exam and working as a nurse.

I am an IEN too here in Ontario just took the exam last Oct. and with God's grace I passed the exam. I was in the same dillema before. i was thinking of going to re-entry courses but instead i enrolled to a review (prep) course for CRNE.

My 2 cents!

Well again, that will depend on the credentialling body what will be the result of your evaluation.

hi! i just found out that i passed our local board exam in the philippines and i also passed my ielts too. I'm an immigrant here in canada, just got here actually, and i went to arbutus to ask the form where they assess if you are elidgible to take the exam, my question is... are there any review centers that offer reviews for the CRNE? which part? i'm in burnaby by the way, and if there are, how much do they usually go for? thanks so much for the info.. im hoping i can pass all the papers they're asking for so i can have myself assessed..

Hello. I have an immigrant visa but I haven't actually landed yet. I have until mid 2008 before it expires. I, too, recently passed the local board exam and IELTS. I am considering having my credentials evaluated by CRNBC as early as now, so I won't have to wait too long in Canada before I get the eligibility and sit the exam. How long did it take for your eligibility to come out?

Also, nursing is my second course but I have only recently graduated and do not have working experience as a nurse yet. Do you think I will find a hard time looking for an employer?
