visa screen application

by mazeRN

Hi,
Good day. I would like to ask if I can apply for visa screen even if the requirements are not yet complete? Do I have to pay the $398 immediately upon applying for the service? I failed my 1st attempt at NCLEX a couple of months ago, thus I was prompted to take the IELTS before sitting for the NCLEX the 2nd time. Fortunately I got an impressive result with my IELTS. Can I already apply online via CGFNS/ICHP with just the IELTS TRF to start with? I did not take the CGFNS exam and hopefully I will take NCLEX for the 2nd time on 1st wk of Feb. Any input pls...

yes, but if you fail to submit the requirements in one year after applying for VS, you need to pay extra fee to cgfns to have the application remain active for another year. If you feel confident that you will pass nclex on february, then maybe you can consider applying now for VS.

payment of the fee for initial application can be done in 60 days after applying.

you can learn more about this by reading the policy in the fee schedule for cgfns services. go to cgfns.org. try the drop-down menu and look for the fee schedule.

i hope this helps.

PASS NCLEX FIRST BEFORE APPLYING FOR VISA SCREENING. YOUR APPLICATION IS ONLY VALID FOR ONE YEAR. IF YOU CAN'T COMPLETE ALL OF THE REQUIREMENTS, YOU WILL HAVE TO RE-APPLY AND WILL PAY AGAIN FOR RE=APPLICATION. YES, YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY UPON SUBMITTING YOUR APPLICATION FORM, THEY WONT START PROCESSING IT, IF YOU WONT.VISIT CGFNS WEBSITE TO KNOW MORE ABOUT VISA SCREENING. GOOD LUCK

as said with previous posts best to start application once you have passed NCLEX. They will not touch file without payment and you will also need to arrange with your state BON to let CGFNS know that you have passed and usually involves a small fee

Thanks kiko, mayflower2000 and silverdragon102. Maybe I really have to pass the NCLEX first before starting the process. I truly wish my second try will be a resounding success. I'm afraid though, I've seen the exam, really tough. I only hope that the preparations I am doing right now will help me get through it. Help me pray and wish me luck. Thanks a lot!
