Hi there I just want to ask if there are Filipinos who applied for assessment and registration in Saskatchewan, Canada. What is the outcome? Please share your experiences. Thank you

Specializes in OR.

its just that, i think, through an agency, they will be able to arrange an employment job for me as soon as i arrive.. but then again, i know they cost way too much that's why i still doubt to get their services..

Specializes in intensive care, recovery, anesthetics.

You should arrange employment before you arrive, and that you can do on your own, no need for an agency at all. Don't know about your work experience, the more the better, if you are willing to go rural or LTC or have one the the demand jobs, your chances are still good, very much depends on when you will be getting your eligibility.

We are expecting more applicants from Alberta and probably Ontario in the future and we are having own newgrads.

HI! I want to register:nurse: in SK with these circumstances and questions.

1. I only have a year of experience as an RN.

2. I currently live in Toronto.

3. Will they require me to go back to school?

4. Will they require me to do didactic training?

I'm currently preggy and if I have to go there and do these things I hope someone

could shed a light on my inquiries.

Your response will be highly appreciated! :redbeatheTHANKS in advance:redbeathe

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

We can't predict if you have to go back to school, do didactic training etc as these are decisions the college will make based on the information you provide in your application.

Are you registered already in Canada?

I am not registered yet. I'm IEN as well from Philippines. Is it worth it to try to apply. Feel like I couldn't practice my nursing at all here in Canada. Thanks so much for your reply Silverdragon102.

Most provinces now require IEN to go through some form of assessment, only way to find out is apply and see what the college states. Is it worth it? for me I would say yes and even though I have over 20 years working experience behind me I had to do some courses to meet college requirements and now working somewhere I like with a good team of other trained staff

anyone with the same situation as mine? anybody who's registered already in SK. :) share your experience please. THANK YOU!
