i agree with retsminaeb's post.. the websites he/she provided will answer most if not all of your questions.. if you want Philippines-specific processing details, nurse2nz will be the best option.. goodluck to all of your future endeavors...

its just that, i think, through an agency, they will be able to arrange an employment job for me as soon as i arrive.. but then again, i know they cost way too much that's why i still doubt to get their services..

anybody who knows if SRNA will require you to take IELTS again if ever the validity of IELTS lapsed by the time you get the eligibility for CRNE? I have read in a couple of threads that SRNA is taking more time (than they used to) to finally issue the eligibility for applicants because they were suddenly flooded by IEN applications.. does anybody know by chance if somebody has to repeat IELTS if its validity has expired already, and yet you haven't got the eligibility?? just wondering because i am about to send my application.. thanks!

Padding devices to prevent skin breakdown
hello! i know that the last post in this topic is agesago.. but i would like to ask everybody.. what is the proper way of using gel pads for the patients? the reason im asking is that, in the hospital where i previously worked, we used to put the gel pads under the linen cover.. but now, im working in a different setting where they put gel pads directly to patient's skin.. i know its more proper as we can obtain the purpose of gel pads for OR patients.. but i just have a question to raise.. in ORs, it is usually cold.. and these gel pads get cold as well.. and when the patient comes in, he/she is already feeling very cold due to anxiety and fear of unknown.. and these cold gel pads add up to it..

and also, to everybody already working in NZ, hows the economic picture out there? i've read in one of big heart's thread, that one can always get a job there even at this point in time of global crisis or economic downturn.. thanks!

To Filipino Nurses in NEW ZEALAND? Have questions please..
first of all, i would like to commend people who really spend time reading queries and help aspiring ones like me by their immediately and very helpful replies, infos. and insights.. thanks to all of you! special mention to big heart.. you really do have it.. and may God always bless you for that.. and this also goes to everybody trying to help as much as they can.. finally, i have questions: 1. i have ribbonized PRC docs in april2008 that i thought would be needed here in abu dhabi but apparently, my current employer never asked for them.. (just to inform people, that i arrived here thru the sponsorship of my husband and was a direct hire..) anyways, will these documents still do good for me in case, for my NZ application? 2. does CAP should be that 6-8weeks long? i mean, its not really long, but in my case, i am only allowed to go for 6weeks vacation by my employer.. 3. is it best to resign from my work if i plan to be NZ RN and take CAP? or can i do it on tourist visa and hopefully, if i pass and be able to hunt for employer, go back to my work and then only arrange for my resignation from my work? and then come back again to NZ for good?? is that possible at all?

For those considering Canada, read on...
its really frustrating to know that overseas recruitment in Canada is almost in freezing point.. so then, it would be a wise and more practical decision to stay where i am right now.. set aside my Canadian dream for a while and focus on my current employment here in Abu Dhabi.. but will it be a better idea if i start to process an immigrant visa now for me and my husband and then hopefully, when everything's been processed, by that time, Canada will soon be opening its doors again for nursing jobs.. comments?? violent reactions?? thanks! thanks janfrn for spending so much time posting helpful articles and replies along with silverdragon and company.. i think, you guys are the foundations of these forums..
