Hi! For those who have taken the NCLEX and passed- would you recommend reviewing on your own without the help of review centers (and if so, what reference materials did you use)?

If you believe going to a review center plays a key role to passing the NCLEX, which review center: KAPLAN, GAPUZ, PENTAGON, or other? why so?

Any good review centers, by any chance, around the Muntinlupa area?

Thanks talaga!;)

Hi there! I took my NCLEX last July 2005 but did not enroll in any review center. I would say that your decision to enroll in any review class would depend on your learning style and study habit. I hate rigid schedules, driving to review center and sitting for long hours thus I never enrolled in a review. But if you like the classroom type of studying, maybe review classes is for you.

I havent read anybody here mentioning Sandra Smith as a good review book. I dunno the exact name of the book coz I lent it a long time ago to a friend but I liked that book. Simple and easy to comprehend yet almost as comprehensive as the Saunders ( I bought almost all the review books to compensate for my guilt of not attending a review class but only scanned most of them). As your exam approaches, I would recommend the latest Lippincott review book ( mine was the 2005 edition) because it has a CD for practice, all are questions and have the innovative type included there. I hope this helps! Goodluck with your NCLEX!

I didn't go to a review center. I used Saunders Comprehensive until I could get a 75% rate.

None of the students that I have coached have used a review center and they have all passed. You definitely do not need a review center to apss the exam, even though that is what they are telling you. One book alone will get you thru the exam.

Hi Suzanne! Where do you do the coaching? How much would it cost? How long will your coaching last? How many hours in a day?
