A question for anyone who has applied to VT

by Djuna

I sent my application to Vermont Nursing Board 2 months ago and it shows up on their website that they have received my application and fee. However my transcript is not showing as having been received and when I telephoned them, they said sometimes it doesn't show up.

Has anyone had this problem? I am concerned my Nursing School either sent my transcript to the wrong place or that it has been lost in the mail. I can't get any answer from Vermont at all whether they have received the all-important transcript

I realise it has only been 2 months and Vermont specifies a 3-4 month period for application process, but if they don't have my transcript, how will I know?

Thanks for any help or suggestions offered.

Hi,
Really sometimes it doesn't show up in the website. Wait for a little more time. At any rate, if there is any document lacking in your application, VT BON will e-mail you. It took me 4.5 months to wait for the eligibility.

Once you saw your name on the web as eligible to take the test, you don't need to wait for their letter, you can now proceed to register at pearson vue.

Yes, there is a limit on the amount of time that you have to get registered. It is different for each state. If you have been given elibility, you can go ahead and register.

Please do not post personal messaging/texting info here, this is for your safety. Feel free to share it via pm, but not for the entire world to see.

About a month or two after the approval, you can register with Pearsonvue. During this time, VT BON will send you a letter containing a white postcard which you need to send back to them with your Pearsonvue Candidate ID number written on it and your signature. Once they receive the card back they will make you eligible and you will be notified via email by the Pearsonvue that your ATT is out. Once you log on to Pearsonvue, you will find your ATT attached to your file with instructions on how to schedule the exam.

The process should take no more than 4-5 months at most. You should be thankful that the VT BON is this fast considering the load of applications they are processing from the Philippines. Compared to the length of time NY applications are verified, evaluated and processed, VT is fast enough.

Btw, don't register yet if you feel that you need more time to study since you will just be given 3 months after the ATT is released to schedule the exam.

Hello everyone. I just need to clarify this matter. How will I know if the Vermont BON has approved my application? Should I only rely on their website or will they send an email to inform me of the approval? I hope that my questions won't sound silly.

Btw,I noticed that the Vermont BON people are so nice and accomodating. I just want to commend them for that. :-)

Thank you and God bless us all.

If you see your name on their website, you have been approved. And can go ahead and register with Pearson-Vue. You do not need to wait for the letter to arrive in the mail.

You will know if you're approved through their website and they will also send you info on standard mail. Go ahead with pearson as soon as you see your name in the VT website as approved but make sure you send back the white card or call them to let them know that you've registered with pearson coz they'll inform pearson of your eligibility and you'll get your ATT.
