A question for anyone who has applied to VT
Hello everyone. I just need to clarify this matter. How will I know if the Vermont BON has approved my application? Should I only rely on their website or will they send an email to inform me of the approval? I hope that my questions won't sound silly. Btw,I noticed that the Vermont BON people are so nice and accomodating. I just want to commend them for that. :-) Thank you and God bless us all.

Hello Amiga, thanks for the greeting. :-) I am more then glad to answer your questions. Yes, the sections for 1st and 2nd coursers are divided. And yes, allied and non-allied sections are divided too.And the doctors have their own section.I was in the allied section because I am a Physical Therapist.I think the only difference is that the 1st coursers do not occupy the air conditioned rooms, the allied and doctors use those rooms.Maybe that's why, the 1st coursers pay less. I am sorry but I cannot fully explain the reason for the difference in tuition fee because I did not pay for anything ( I am humbly stating this fact ). But not paying a single cent when I was a student there meant that I had to work doubly hard in studying so as not to embarrass my close relative who owns the school. I had to get good grades and study very hard and I pressured myself to give it my all. But I know that we have the same teachers and there is no discrimination when it comes to the quality of education that the school provides. And one other good thing, the school looks better now. They have made a lot of repairs and the last time I went there ( feb 2007 ) it's beginning to look like a hotel. I like the new look of the school. I wish you lots and lots of success as a nurse. If you need any help, feel free to contact me.I will be more than happy to be of help. God bless you. :-)

I agree with you :-) And there were a lot of analytical questions. And several NCLEX type of questions. I can still recall the out of this world questions but of course, I can't post them here. God bless everyone. God bless you Lawrence, the super moderator. Keep up the good work. :-)

You can do it! I will pray for all of you. I am a December 2006 board passer. There were weird questions and there were easy questions. It was scary at first because it was the first time that the new BON made their questions. I did a self review and it worked. Believe in yourselves and God will help you. God bless you all.

Hi medtek.Lanting has different courses offered like Maritime,Education etc. Sen. Drilon did not pinpont the College of Nursing of Lanting because the school has been doing well in producing Nursing Licensure Board topnotchers and board passers.Last December 2006, we got the 6th and 9th places for board topnotchers. The other courses offered by Lanting are the ones having problems not the College of Nursing. In fact, the graduates ahead of our batch are doing so well in the US. And our dean is fantastic, admired by other deans for being so hardworking and efficient. I hope that I have enlightened you :-)

Peace to you as well.I respect your opinion. But it's the student who has the power to mold himself/herself into the best nurse that he or she can be.The Lanting students that you have interacted with do not represent all the Nursing students of the school.Me and a lot of my classmates passed the Board exam last December because we were focused and determined to reach our goals.Even if we are second coursers and we are above the age of 30.One has to love being a nurse to be a good nurse. It's about one's focus and mindset.I love being a nurse so much that sometimes, I tend to forget that I am also a PT.It's not about the school, it's about the student.I hope that I made sense somehow. :-) Godspeed :-)

Yes, do that.Check the curriculum so you can be assured that I am telling you the truth. Not because I am a relative of the owner but because I believe in what the school can do for you. :-)

Hi, I am so glad that you chose Lanting. I am a relative of the owner of the school.I graduated from the same school last year, took my local board last December and I am an RN now. I give credit to Lanting for taking good care of its students. And I hope that you can prove that when you get to study there. Region 5 is in Bicol.Lanting has a branch in Bicol. The main campus in Tandang Sora is doing well and has no problems. The one in Bicol is the one with the problem. So don't be scared. Study well, you will be well taken care of. :-)

Vermont Mode of payment
Hello everyone.I hope that these questions of mine won't sound silly but I really need to know the answer to my questions. Please help me. May I pay the Vermont $150 application fee via credit card payment? My sisters who live in the US would like to pay the fee for me using their credit card. Is that allowed in Vermont? Or does it really have to be paid with bank drafts? I am so looking forward to the answers to my questions. Thanks. :-)
