I'm a labor and delivery Nurse in Montreal. Today, I got offered to work in King Faisal Hospital through Helen Ziegler. I was supposed to go with them to Doha, Quatar to a new Hospital facility Sidra Medical health center. My relocation to this facility has been postponed to 2018 however they offering me a contract for King Faisal.

I'm considering it and would welcome testimonials from other nurses.

I would be careful about Saudi Arabia... they're one of the most restricted countries in the world and execute a lot of people for petty offenses.... please be careful....

I'm also a labor and delivery nurse looking to go to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia this summer. I would love any information you can share on the application process and Helen Ziegler as a company.

Specializes in ICU.

Watch the episode of banged up abroad about the Scottish nurse who worked there. Its on youtube.

Hello, I too just recently got a job offer from Helen Ziegler for a nursing job at King Faisal Hospital; however, I don't really trust my recruiter at Helen Ziegler. I feel rushed and I don't think she really fought to get me a higher salary. I was told by Ben Khan and Associates that they could get me a higher salary because they are a smaller company, which they have more time to advocate for me. Has anyone heard of Ben Khan and Associates?

Is the wage really that much better? Or is it the adventure that appeals to you all?

Guys, Saudi Arabia beheads people... do not work there!!! If you slip up, they'll get you! Especially if you're a woman, you'll have to wear head-coverings regardless if you're muslim or not. Women aren't allowed to drive, and you'll be segregated in restaurants. I wouldn't even trust being out in the streets, you'll likely be raped.

Specializes in Emergency, Rehabilitation.

Hi!I am rehab nurse working here in Saudi Arabia and I also have friends working in KFSH. They tell me it's a busy hospital but it depends on your area. If you're looking to save money, Saudi is a good choice since the salary is tax free. There are a lot of rules over here especially for women, you're not allowed to drive and have to wear an abaya when going out. I hear it is much stricter in Riyadh than where I currently work. I can go in public with my hair uncovered when it is VERY hot, but I would advise against it since people WILL stare, and as a women you dont need that kind of attention. To be honest, this place can be boring. But it pays well and my medical insurance is topnotch, so Im still here..... until my contract ends. :D Goodluck to you!
