Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

I think they will issue the visa support letter even if your not yet done with the immunization as long as u have paid the coures fee. I recieved my visa support letter today together with form 2 and 3, and invoice of payment made. I am still not done with my immunization, just got my TST today. Hoping to submit all the requirements before December 2nd.Goodluck to all of Us!!!
How many days/weeks did you wait for the visa support letter after paying the tuition?
Good luck to us! I hope we can all be classmates. :)
hi everyone,do you think i should start having my vaccinations even if i still don't have the eligibility letter from ahpra? should i also start looking for school offering BP?
>.
Hello!
In my opinion, you can already start with vaccines having multiple shots like MMR and Varicella (if you did not have chickenpox yet). That's what I did. :) But I am not sure if all schools have the same immunisation requirements. To be sure, look into the required vaccines of several schools first. :)
Good luck with your AHPRA application.

guys,
i dont remember to had a reply from ahpra saying that aaon isnot accredited forbp even though they belongto the uni of ballarat.....
i remember the post is recent but i could not find it...however i wrote to aaon ´cos i am bphunting and i asked them to clarify this matter to me.here is their reply:
hi xxxxxxx,
you can verify the information yourself when you visit the ahpra website under the nursing and midwifery board. click on accreditation. then approved programs of study. it should be on page 5 of 6. and the fourth in the list. it says university of ballarat. aaon is a provider of university of ballarat, and we are located in melbourne.

Hi everyone. I'm super new here, and I'm the latest to join the Aussie-bound-nurses-bandwagon. Does anyone here has an idea regarding the opening classes of these universities; DEAKIN, LA TROBE and UNIVERSITY OF BALLARAT. I'm currently on the application for the Bridging Program and these schools are my top choices. THANKS SO MUCH!
