Hi nurses,i called cgfns today to find out my result, and guess what....''I FAILED!!!!!'' Infact my heart is so heavy right now,i didnt believe it when the lady said is,actually this is my first time of failing exam in my life and i tell you the feeling is horrible,i just decided to come online and tell you all cos you ve always been there for me.

The people asking me for study guide, just read whatever you can lay your hands on,cgfns is an exam you will never predict.i read so much and here i am today, thats the reason why i need a visa seriously to go to puerto Rico for my nclex,i need to sit for that exam and pass is ,so anyone out there that knows what it will take for me to get a three or whatever day visa for my exam should tell me cos am going crazy right now.

Secondly,i have two passports,an official passport and a personal passport.which one do i present at the embassy? my official passport will expire on the 3rd of march next year and am still waiting for vermont to give me the ATT,do u think i can get a visa with a passprot less than 6months validity? pls a fast reply would be highly appreciated.thank you all for your love.:crying2:

Not sure what to say except sorry that you have failed. Study with Saunders for the NCLEX and I also found Kaplan a good book. The NCLEX is different from the CGFNS exam so just keep practicing the questions

Just study well for your up-coming NCLEX exam. You do not need the CGFNS certification anyway. Is Vermont where your really want to work or do you plan to endorse to another state? Which State? You may never need the CGFNS certification anyway (depending on what state you want to work ultimately).

Many are also saying that the NCLEX is really easier to pass than the CGFNS exam as long as you studied the right way for it.

You can check out Allnurses.com's NCLEX discussion forum (http://www.allnurses.com/forums/f197) if you still haven't done so. You can read a lot of information there to know everything you need to know about NCLEX and how to properly study for it.

Goodluck. Don't worry everything will be alright. Your Allnurses.com family will help you out.

Cheer up. :monkeydance:

thank you silverdragon and lawrence, you are just wonderful!!! you ve revived me.i planned on working in michigan state after the initial licensure by vermont, but i understand that michigan requires cgfns,so am gonna change the state but i dont know which.i would like a state closest to michigan that do not require cgfns,so i could be going to work from michigan cos i plan to stay with my uncle when i get there at least for a while.if possible please let me have the names of the states you would

Hi janechy,

Ohio state doesn't need cgfns certification & it's very close to michigan also.only thing is not that much easy to stay in michigan & work in ohio unless your uncle lives near the boarder. I hope michigan eliminates cgfns requirements then you don't have to worry at all right? all the best & hope for the changes very soon!!

zinn and bt92019 thank you so much for your soothing advice,God bless you.i will look into ohio but my friends say the dont treat their nurses well, but right now i dont have a choice cos i dont ever wanr to write that cgfns in my life again, its fraustrating and not worth it.am hoping for the best and i know i ll get their one day with God by my side.am glad i joined this forum, you are the best.God bless you.
