Heard of ANSM Consultancy- Australian Nurse, Student and Migration Consultancy?

I attended the seminar of this Consultancy last March 13. A friend of mine just texted me about the seminar. As much as I liked the idea that the Consultancy presented, I am kind of skeptical about this Consultancy. I also have been trying to research about them but I couldn't find anything. I was also not satisfied with the way the seminar was conducted. They had a powerpoint presentation which was more about Australia (places, tourist attractions, wildlife, etc), instead of discussing the process itself. I was also a little disappointed because they did not give us a copy of the breakdown of expenses to be paid and when we are supposed to pay it. Also, they failed to provide us with an outline or instructions on the steps that we would undergo. But they did tell us that they are just going to send these to out emails. I did receive the email yesterday, but still I just want to make sure that this is legitimate.

If anyone could give me any feedback about this Consultancy, it would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I would like to ask our moderators if there is a way to check if a Consultancy is legitimate? Are they also registered in the POEA (Philippine Overseas & Employment Agency) just like Recruitment Agencies? Because someone told me that since they do not give "job offers" they are not registered in the POEA, is that right?

Thank you very much for all of your help! God Bless!!!

Hi Sally22....

Can you send me a PM with your email so I can contact you regarding the consultancy....thanks..I think i still don't have enough posts to send you a PM

JustinRN...

Thanks for your email...I added you in my messenger and looking forward to chatting with you

For those with constant doubts and no suggestions i have attached the following which was provided to me.

Unfortunately too many people look for the negative all the time without ever providing a solution. This, although well meaning is detrimental to the reader.

If there are other alternatives then it is up to the individual. Life is either a bag of mishaps, problems and misery or a SUCCESS, where every day is an enjoyable one. This only ever comes to those who see the things they want and follow the opportunities, whatever they are, whilst keeping a clear picture of the outcome they want.

Sure, some things don't go the way we planned it but there is a higher force at work here and we cannot tell it to do what we want it provides us with what we ask for and does it in its own way.

Below is a copy of a sheet handed to me by ASNC I hope this will assist with the understanding or the process. The consultancy provided me with this. clip_image003.gif

Hi earthyjewels,

I am still short of posts to send you a PM and am not really sure what a post is. As soon as my account is activated I will email you. I see you had contact with justinRN, He can also give you the agency details if you ask him. He is going to Australia shortly.

Justin can give you my email address if you ask him.

I will wait to hear from you. God Bless

I've been doing a google search and nothing comes up pertaining to ANSM Consultancy. Can someone please PM me as to their contact info? It'd be greatly appreciated.

I am wondering.. Is it really that hard to go to Australia via direct route? It seems everyone's going via assistance route. Would it be possible to challenge the exam without hiring or using any form of representation? Just a thought.

As a few have already mentioned, AU$8,500 is no joke and majority cannot even afford such fee so it is just but natural that some would be wary of it.

People should have a choice and both sides of the coin should be heard. Anyway, the final choice on what to do resides solely to the individual and whatever happens should also be their personal responsibility as well.

No one should invest on something that they have not done their research on. Even well researched things can turn out not the way they envisioned it to be, what more for things that has not been researched at all ??

You're absolutely right. Coming to Australia is going to cost an arm and a leg. Much less, to hire any form of representation to get there.

Just wanted to make sure I had it all right and explored my options. I don't want to spend $8500 (AUS) knowing there is "direct route". On the other hand, I don't want to end up saving more of my hard-earned money then having to deal with bigger problems later on (housing, job assistance, etc.)

We still have not seen one person post here that has gone thru this program and is actually working in Australia now as an RN.

This is something that should be quite important to all of you. Not what an agency can do, but what the final outcome is and that is what anyone always needs to focus on.

Articles about someone now working there does not mean anything in terms of deciding how you are going to go about it. And what if you wish to work in another state in Australia? Things are quite different for the others as well.

Of course that is an utmost concern in all types of overseas application. Will just have to wait and see from other people's experiences. There are risk-takers and there are those that choose to play safe. I am somewhere in between--- :lol2:

There is also absolutely nothing wrong by playing safe or being "in-between", esp. if there is money involved.

One statement is saying no proof and the other says the proof is not good?? I am really confused.

Would you tell me to proceed knowing there are nurses who have gone to Australia this way?

or

Would you tell me not to go because no one has posted on this forum???

I am not really sure what the role of a moderator is but I am sure that up to now you have provided little confirmation on how the nurses would go about applying for another country.

All I see is finger pointing and accusations of impropriety and you, actually placing fear in the hearts of the nurses. No one can ever be successful if they are overcome by fear, and yes there are unscrupulous people out there. If you really want to help US, comment on the positive approaches we should take to ensure the best chance of success.

Just because no nurse has posted on your forum doesn't mean no one has gone overseas, either to Australia or other countries, It JUST MEANS YOUR FORUM IS NOT OF INTEREST TO THEM, THEY ARE TOO BUSY WORKING OR YOUR FORUM IS NOT THE ONLY FORUM AVAILABLE.

I am glad I have had contact with these people, who incidentally are assisting nurses from Saudi, Dubai, Ireland and the UK and USA to go to Australia.

If I thought no nurse had ever gone then I would be very hesitant. The article provided is directly from the Nursing Council's report so what else is necessary to validate the process??

Please be helpful!! Each comment I read makes me feel either, frustrated, defensive, or ignorant, none of which are good for me.

We nurses need assistance for success not the crab in the bucket holding us back always finding problems and never offering solutions.

It is also a reflection on the forum if it fails to guide us with a purpose to assist the us in choosing successfully and only seeks to negate any information provided by those going through the process with an agency. And to make comments like I have never heard of them also leads us to believe you know all the agencies when we really suspect you do not.

People who posts in forums usually are asking other people who are also anonymous to give their un-bias opinions.

That is in essence, the purpose of posting on forums. To be able to get un-bias opinions/comments and all comments should be welcomed regardless if positive or negative. In the end, the decision on what to do will be up to the individual.

An informed decision is that w/c one had to their best of abilities researched things as thorough as they can.

Making an informed decision also includes factoring in all the pros and cons, advantages/disadvantages or the positives and negatives. No one can make in informed decision if all we want to hear are the pros or positives only.

Closing this thread until further notice.

And I love to see others be able to go to other countries and work, but they need to thoroughly check things out and not listen only to what one agency is telling you. It does not matter for which country that one wishes to work in, but they need to be very aware of what is going on and when there is a large sum of money involved, it is even more important.

People post here all of the time that have signed contracts and then come and ask about the company or agency. And all we are saying is to do your homework over them or any other company/agency.

And we do get people that post here all of the time that are now in Australia and NZ and everyplace else, but not one of them has gone there thru this agency so that is why I always state to be careful.

You need to make the final decision, and you need to go into it with open eyes to everything. And when I do not see proof of anyone that has gone there with them and is now working there as an RN, then my radar goes off, just as yours should.

Best of luck to whatever you decide to do. And if one takes the time to do some reading here, they will find quite a few threads on how to go about getting jobs in other countries as well as the requirements and what to look for in an agency as well. And they have been written by me on almost every topic.
