california license verification for visascreen application

Updated May 19, 2007 at 08:24 PM by YUWESAREN

hi! how can i have my california license verified if i haven't been issued a license yet due to lack of ssn? i didn't declare in my visascreen application that i already have a license in california because they asked for my license number which i don't have yet. i just put there that i already passed the nclex. can't they just verify with pearson vue the results of my exam?

Pearson-Vue has no control over your results. They are unable to share them with anyone. The only one that can release your results is the Board of Nursing, or the BRN for CA and that requires your written permission. Peason-Vue just acts as an agenct for the Boards of Nursing, nothing more.

You will need to use the form that comes with the VSC application and send it into the BRN to complete and please include $60USD for them to do that for you.

And you were correct not to include the license on the VSC form as you do not have one.

You complete the form that is with the VSC application and then send it to CA BRN to complete. And they require a payment of $60 US for it. And believe that the payment must be by bank draft for it.

You can check with them to see what they will accept.

Hi to all, I am in the process of completing my visa screen. For license verification step, since I am not yet a license holder (just an NCLEX passer for that matter) which one should I pay: copy of test result or ICHP Visa Screen? or both? I am just confused as to what form should I send.
Miscellaneous Fees

DESCRIPTION FEE AMOUNT Certified Copy of School Transcript $30 Confirmation of License Renewal Letter $2 Copy of Test Results $10 Dishonored Check Penalty $15 Duplicate License $30 ICHP Visa Screen $60 Verification of CA RN Licensure $60
I read somewhere in one of the threads here that I will be using the form (License Verfication Form), even though I don't have the license yet (No SSN , no License requirement of California BON).

For the VSC processing, the cost is $60 for CA to complete the paperwork. It is verification that you have passeds the NCLEX exam as there is no license to verify.

They are not asking for a copy of the test result, but the form that is with the application needs to be completed by the BRN and their fee is the $60 for that.

As long as the envelope is sealed and signed you shouldn't have any problems sending the documentation yourself but would recommend using a carrier like FedEx, UPS etc so you can keep track of it and have record it has reached destination
