I have also helped foreign nurses come to the US to work for more than twenty years, and helped get across the changes in CGFNS policy about the Japanese nurses that trained in Thailand, as well as the other foreign nurses that were in that program. And it took about two years to get done, meetings were held even in Europe over it; not a simple change this and send out a memo. It does not work that way over here, especially when you are delaing with a company that is under contract to provide a service that is specified by the US Government.

I have been a nurse, probably more years than many of you have even been on this planet..................it you do not like what I am saying, you do not need to follow it, the choice is yours.

Helping nurses here is done as a volunteer, we are not paid. I put my time in because I love to see others be able to better themselves. I use my years of experience and training in making my choices. Unfortunately, many of you do not have that behind them..............

    mike,

I don't know if I should be happy or what, i received my eligibility at the same time GMA announced the retake. So its mixed emotions haha. But I have to delay my NCLEX I guess -_-

My sister said you can have your ATT in less than an hour and I only have 90 days if I am registered so I am postponing it.

ya, there's an old saying...be careful what you pray for, coz you might just get it!
so, yes until the picture of re-test becomes clear, still you and most of your batch-mates remain stuck until further notice. in my mind even the 26000 "flunkers" are back in turmoil, coz now pgma says she likes everbody to retest 3 and 5. but if i did not pass, i would prefer just regular 100% retake in dec 06. at least that way i am already registered and making a study plan, etc.

    *sigh*
well, take it one day a time, make the best of your idle time, and pray that it moves forward soon and to the benefit of the talented filipino nurses who are just trying to be productive in their careers and lives. may god bless you all! ingat!
