APHY 101 online - Ivy Tech

U.S.A. Indiana

Hey guys!

I'm taking APHY 101 online this semester and I bought a used book. I was worried because, after speaking with the online bookstore, they informed me that it was a new book, 1st edition. However, I spoke with my teacher and she confirmed that the older, green, 7th edition would work just fine.

Also, I was worried about having to buy the Pearson code for access, but I received an email from my instructor on that, today. She said that we no longer have to have access because all the information is embedded into blackboard now. Woohoo!

I just wanted to share that with anyone else who is taking the class and may not have purchased the outrageously expensive $293.00 book. Also, the lab kit is now included with the book package or it can be bought separately for a much cheaper amount.

Hope this helps someone!

Tara

I think it will lessen somce of the competition because while you will still have As, there are many others who are B students (and as my aphy prof said, As are for crazy people! lol) so it should ease the application process. BUT we wouldn't see a change in that until probably the fall start in 2011.

I am interested in taking ANP101 online in the Spring 2010 semester. I was looking at the classes online but noted that some of them state "8 weeks". What does this mean? Any advice you can provide is helpful. Thanks.

Those courses are 8 week sessions instead of the usual 16 weeks. I am currently in A&P 101 online in an 8 week session and we cover 2 chapters, have 2 lab quizzes, and 2 discussion boards each week. Also there are 4 tests, only 2 proctored.
