Rush GEM Winter 2012

Hi all!

I have an interview coming up on Monday for the Rush GEM program, and have been browsing this site for others who may be going through the application and interview process. Have seen a few people mentioning that they have applied, but no threads specifically for those wishing to enter the winter 2012 cohort, so I figured I'd start one!

I'm quite excited to even be considered for an interview here as I thought myself a long shot for the program. I'll be doing my interview via phone as I'm from NY, but hope that I will be able to nail it from afar!

Anyone else out there interviewing or waiting?

Hi all! I am applying for the Fall 2012, I have a friend that attends there now but has not given me enough info so I am referring to this website for some answers. Currently hold a 3.44 in Biology and graduate December 9th! Also, all my pre reqs are done! I am gathering my recommendation letters and already began the application. How much is the personal statement weighed and how was the interview? any tips/advice would be much appreciated. This program looks awesome but would like to find out more because the website isn't too informative. You end up with a MSN but after do you pick a track?

How did you study for the GRE. I have anatomy II and chemistry to take. So I was going to apply for the Spring. During the summer I plan to take the GRE and I heard it was hard.

I have my BA from Elmhurst and my gpa was 3.18 and so far with the pre- req I am at 3.22 but I still have two more to go.

Is anyone concern about cost?????

I thought we get 0 grants and only loans 59K is like a mortgage payment and time are though. ?

Hey everyone! I was accepted to the DePaul MENP program, and I am waiting to hear from Rush, but it sounds like I have a good chance of acceptance there as well. Does anyone have any advice as to which program is better? I would think Rush, but I'm not sure and need to make a decision on DePaul asap. Thanks in advance!

What are some of the requirements to get in for the GEM program at Rush University? I have a biology degree and my GPA for undergrad was okay and my GRE was okay either. But I also i have a masters in healthcare administration and couple certification and years of experience of work at the hospital. Can you guys tell me what are some of the qualifications? I am not sure if I am competitive enough to get in. Please share your advice. thanks.
