  1. Ronina, you are in good company. We have a facebook group going if you want to check it out.
  2. Thanks. To be honest your situation looks far better than mine did and I got in so I wouldn't worry to much about it. I had below a 2.7 cumulative GPA. I took the GRE did fair on it, have a 4.0 in my pre-reqs, and had a really good interview. I apparently showed the admissions staff I wanted it pretty bad. I looks like you have grades under and some experience, I'd say you're in. Just know why you want to go to Rush and be a nurse. Write it down and make sure you know why you want it. I think that helped me. hope this helps, you can find me on facebook, Christopher Jay Dunning.
  3. Fbook page is up.
  4. I did take the GRE. I spend about 2 weeks studying for it and got a 980 composite (490 on each) and a 4 on the writing. Nothing outstanding but apparently enough for Rush. I would recommend studying for a month or 2. Between print and online options there are plenty of study resources.
  5. Shasta312, I'm a 28 year old male who made subpar grades during my undergrad years. I think I finished up with a 2.7 cumulative. I studied social work and theology during those 4 years and just coasted through. I took about 2.5 years off and just worked, I basically decided nursing was for me during that time. I got super focused and started my pre-reqs and I've never looked back. The only advice I can give is that if you're starting out with less than ideal grades keep razor sharp focus and aim for all A's. I probably wouldn't have been considered if I received anything less than than a 4.0 on my pre-reqs. The other thing is know why you want to be a nurse. If there's anything else just let me know.
  6. Hey guys, I'm in the process of creating a Facebook group so keep an eye out for it. You should be able to find it by searching Rush University GEM Winter 2012 on Facebook.
  7. Just found out I was accepted for the 2012 cohort. Super stoked. Chris
