I've seen this company Professional Edge Nursing advertise for nurses to make home care visits doing assessments, etc. they advertise all over the US but, i can't seem to find any info on them no website, phone number, or address. i think its kinda odd if its a legitimate business not to at least have an address and phone number. Anyone heard of this place before or worked for them?

I currently work for them. It is a great job, there is no hands on care. You are a care manager for the patients they give you. You make your own schedule and pick up however many patients you want. You really have to be self motivated though because you HAVE to see your people every week.

I forgot i made this post, LOL. Hey ianursey ty so much for replying they just recently advertised again and they FINALLY gave a web address for more info on how they work. what i'm curious about is where do the patients come from that you see and how many do you see a day? it sucks they dont pay mileage you gotta claim that on your taxes. i like the fact you can work independently doing your own thing. one thing i do need to do that they require is to get some .

It is for a program created by a major insurance company to provide their patient's with a nurse and the goal is to try to keep them out of the hospital. I currently have 10 patients and it takes me about 5 hours a week to see them all. There is no hands on care. You choose who you see on what days. A lot of them live very close to each other which is nice. It depends on how many high risk patients are in your area and how many nurses are in your area on how many you get. I am the only nurse in my area so I get all the patients here. I really love it and I make more money than I did at the hospital! Plus I get to stay home with my kids.

Do they work in the St. Louis area? Where do you get the and about how much does it cost? I like the idea of making your own hours and home with kids

I just looked at website and they said they paid $40 per visit for RN. I thought I read $75 visit and $25 driving

I have sent the application, a LOT of personal information, SS#, nursing license #, copies of old tax form W2's and haven't heard from my recruiter in over a week. Have emailed and called and now I am scared this is some sort of scam. Am I wrong???

It's not a scam, I work for them. I agree they ask for a lot of information up front...it's like a 33 page application.

It was odd, my recruiter, just stopped communicating with me. At first I thought she had fallen ill or some personal tragedy but as time has passed, still no contact. I finally stopped trying and just got another job. Things work out though. I started working as the day weekend supervisor (12 hour shifts) at a nursing facility about 4 weeks ago and I really like it! PRN home health during the week to supplement. Guess it is a good thing Danielle stopped communicating!

I applied with this company once & never heard a thing from them. Oh well!

Just love how you hear nothing from an employer for nine months or a year, then they call you out of the blue and berate you that it is your fault they haven't been giving you work. Or, better yet, you apply for unemployment, and one of the employers that never gave you one hour of work prevents you from getting unemployment because they lie to the authorities, telling them that they offered you all of this "wonderful" work over the past year or two and you turned it all down, every bit of this "wonderful" work out of their imagination. This is something that employment attorneys should be able to successfully address, but nothing ever changes.
