Professional Edge Nursing anyone know about them?

Published

I've seen this company Professional Edge Nursing advertise for nurses to make home care visits doing assessments, etc. they advertise all over the US but, i can't seem to find any info on them no website, phone number, or address. i think its kinda odd if its a legitimate business not to at least have an address and phone number. Anyone heard of this place before or worked for them?

I just got hired. Have a webinar tomorrow. I have never done a webinar . Anyone tell me how theirs went?

I have worked for Professional Edge Nursing for over a year and have had the pleasure to of been a tremendous help to many people who normally would have no one to assist them. We have in my opinion the best nurses from all across the country working with us. They do all that they can to help their members. I am very happy with this job and hope to be doing this for many years. Although we nurses are spread throughout the country we do all that we can to help each other when needed.

I am intrigued by this and would like to know and understand more. The website doesn't give enough info.

I mean, the website makes it sound more like a staffing agency?

I was intrigued, too, after reading this post. The website isn't really clear on what they do, which makes it not sound legit, in my opinion. No hands on care? But you're there to keep the patient out of the hospital? I don't get it. What do you actually do?

Our role is to make sure that every patient has everything that they or their families need to care for them at home which will prevent unnecessary hospitalizations over things that we could have taken care of before it became an issue. Such things are making sure that they have Home Health and physical therapy coming in if needed, that they have access to their medications, if they have problem getting it we find a way to help them. We educate the patients and families, assist them with contacting local resource agencies for assistance, contact MD's when needed for requests. Educate the patients and their families regarding their medications and make sure they know what they are for, any side effects they may need to watch for, etc. Believe me you will stay very busy but it is so worth it when you see that you have helped someone. Anymore questions please feel free to ask.

The company is legit and they have a new website. Professional Edge Nursing

I retired from a full time job and picked up this job as a Care Manager for Humana Insurance, through this agency. I currently see 3 patients once per week in their homes. The agency is professional and they offer a great deal of support and education. I love the flexibility of working when and as much as I want.

Although you are working through an agency, you are a Care Manager for Humana's home programs. So you complete Humana's training online and have access to weekly webinars for more training and support.

If you are looking for a rewarding and flexible job, and you are self motivated, please look at their website. You need to be dependable and have good attention to details, because like any job - you are held accountable for following policies and seeing your assigned patients every week.

I would like to say I work as a Care Manager for Professional Edge Nursing (PEN) . I have been a nurse or 30 years and I will retire at this job. I love the hours and the fact I work from my home and on my own time. If I have questions, there are managers and coworkers, who always have excellent advise, so I can give my members the best care management possible. This by far is the most full filling career, I have ever had.

So could I conceivably land a full time visiting job with benefits through this company? A job in which i would set my own hours?

Professional edge nursing sucks I worked for them and they cut my pay so I switched companies and got better pay. They also don't tell you there is a member cap you can only have so many members total. They work with the insurance company Humana and in my opinion they are going under. Humana put all their eggs in one basket with the merger with Aetna but it was shut down so it is only a matter of time before Humana collapses.
