I am FT salaried HH RN. BUT, Administrator and DON told me after I had been working there 2 weeks if I don't make 30 points q week, I have to see scheduled pts. on weekends. Have you heard of this? I already am on call every other wkend, with no pay, so conceivably I could be working every weekend! TY

Which agency do u work for? Certainly does not seem right, not ur fault they dont have the units during the week for u!

TY-yes, I agree. Small company in Tampa,FL. One DON, me, and an LPN. Since starting I have squeeked by to get 30, but on my weekend on call, I have seen pts both days, ROC's and SOC's. Plus, no health insurance. plus, I earn below 60k, which my former DON said was very low, like by 6k.

before i came here, i thought my hh experience is tough enough, now seems like i was in a good one. 29 per week. one weekend on call per month plus 3 week days. week days 20 buck even no call; weekend 100 bucks on saturday and sunday even no call. i was paid hourly 28 per hour hired as regular part time no benefits but do more than full time job since they always short. but manager been talk to me twice for low salary. like go full time with benefit 24. i said not need benefit. then she told me " you can go full time without benefit". everybody told me she lost mind at that moment.

Sounds like another example of trying to get more out of a person than may be reasonable. If you do not like this new turn of events, it may be time to look elsewhere. I know I surely wouldn't want someone to tell me that from now on my days off most likely won't be days off. It is bad enough as it is with the days off, could be unbearable without the days off.

I was hired by a home health company as a salaried RN working Sat, Sun, Mon, 12 hour days. I was told I needed 9 points a day in order to reach my quota. So basically, I would have to do 3 SOC, and a visit to get my salary. SOC are 2.5 points, regular visit is 1-1.5 points. Some company SOC is 3 points...this lowering the point system puts more work on the weekend admission nurses.

How many points does the DON need in order to get paid?

When did nursing judgement and professional work get reduced to points?

I know this is an old post but was wondering if you still work this position? I have been offered a Baylor HH position but am concerned about it being pay based on points and have a few questions.

Hi, I'm no longer with the company. I resigned in 2015. I can remember the point system, but it only affected raised and bonuses. Of course you're threaten with write ups and firing if you don't meet your quota. The position was salaried, so it didn't affect your pay.
