May COT is quickly approaching. I know of only 3 of us here who are in. Who else is going?

I still haven't commissioned, should be soon obviously.

I can't get on base to get all my uniforms, but I have a friend who can take me to do it. Does everyone have their stuff?

As I organize to close up my house for my renter, I am stressing about it getting moved before I leave for COT. I can't get to TMO before my orders.... kind of freaking out about that. I know I can have someone else do it for me, but it would have to be a friend, as I have no family here.

So many questions and lists in my head!

I'm out running to make sure I can keep up once I get there; it's a great stress killer.

I wish I were going in May. I'm in August. But all things happen for a reason and this will be a summer to enjoy and improve my run time. Can't wait to hear from you when it's all done. Good luck! :coollook:

Hi Monica,I am going in May. I just joined the site today. But I was commissioned in feb. Waiting for them to have my name in the system so that I can go have my ID done which will enable me to go purchase my uniform. I am glad that I am meeting someone before I even get there. send me an email or something let me know if you are on FB. but on my side things are going well. I have been patient.

In preperation, I try to run every other day as it is posted on Military.com. I HATE running, but I am doing it just so that I can pass my first time doing the test and move on.

Congrats!! It is getting exciting.

I'm out running too. I have never liked running. I can do step aerobics or kickboxing for an hour and love it, but running for 20 minutes just annoys me. It's a mindset thing. I'm trying to convince myself I love running. :) I'm going about 2.5 miles at least 3 times a week. I still go to the gym too, since I love my friends there and the environment.

I'm hoping to commission this week, but it will probably not happen yet. No worries. It'll all get done.

i'm getting a briefing from my recruiter this thursday at which time i will also get my ID, sign up for the military credit card, and get my uniforms. i'll tell you all about it on thursday when i get back from the base.

i try to do any cardio exercise besides just running. running does get boring unless you have company...which makes a total difference!

My running partner is my dog. He's loving it. When I'm wanting to quit and walk I talk to him and act like he wants to quit and cheer him on. :)

I get my commission this week! I told them I'm available Thursday or Friday so he's checking when the colonel I interviewed with is available. I sure hope my orders are right behind that so I can set up TMO. I'm clearing out my house like crazy. I need to have it cleared out for renters before I leave.

congratulations midinphx! it has been a long time coming but well worth it.

as far as getting your ID, i think when you go to an air force base to get your uniforms, then that's when they issue it because you have the option of opening up a military credit card to pay for stuff you need (up to $500 no interest). i'll let you know on thursday after i get back from travis.
