You just get on base to the ID office and sign in, WAIT till they call you and they will take your picture and finger print. it is going to be a reserve ID card though. My recruiter says you can't get CAC till you are AD, which I won't be till I get to COT. I got the Reserve ID and that gets me on base and other military privillages.

Progress report: I contacted my recruiter and I was given my Chief nurse info at my permanent station. I waited about a bit before I contacted her. day 2 after our initial introduction and I received a Welcome letter from NTP and even a sponsor.

ok cool. Now I gotta look for a 'good' neigborhood to live in.

I am stationed at Travis AFB, I am trying to look for places to live around there. Does anyone know apartment complexes that are decent for a quiet person with no dependents? How are the housing on base? i understand that there is a waiting list. personally I do not want to live on base, but if it what i have to do, i want to be prepared. Thanks in advance for any imput.

Well, People might know where they are going before they pass the boards becasue their paper work was turned in early. it depends on when his paper work was turned in and and who is working on it. As fr getting their orders mailed to them, they don't untill they passed the boards and show prove.
