Computer Charting

My husband is an applications developer, and is interested in creating one. Can anyone tell me if they currently use computer charting? If so, is it working well for your facility? I understand that there is a lot of redundant charting that goes on in LTC to meet Medicare and other requirements. Let me know what those of you in the field think.Thanks!
