It seems as though the facility did all it could do.
There is a special hell for degenerates who prey on old demented people and I'm sure this person is headed there.
On a different note, there is a bill pending which would supposedly address the issue of nurses being assaulted by patients. Somehow I don't think gerontological nurses are on the list of those who need protecting since no one really gives a rat's behind what happens in skilled facilities...well, no one but US and the patients we care for.
This went on for 3 years and no one saw anything for 3 years???
Didn't nurses there make rounds q2hrs and the aides doing their bedchecks, changes, meals being served, trays being picked up, and people coming and going at all hours of the day and night??
Something doesn't sound right to me.

>>>>>So what do you all think? I believe the home did everything they could have done-they did the required background checks on their employees and notified the authorities the instant they knew they had a problem..The retirement community does have an assisted living unit,LTC,rehab and an Alheimer's/dementia program and there is no way I can find out exactly where she resided...
