Hi,
Just wondering who is applying to GPC for fall 2011 and how everyone is feeling. I just took the Teas V two weeks ago and they put a message on the board that they would contact us in 3weeks and until then not to call them. This wait is KILLING me! I am so nervous. Does anybody know people that have already been accepted into the program or is anybody currently in the program?
I got 76 on the TEAS. Definitely not my best work! I've not given up hope, but I have prepared myself emotionally for not getting accepted to GPC. Ughhh. It saddens me because I put in so much work up to this point! But, in the likely event that I get a rejection letter, I am going to take classes over the summer that I need as prereqs for Clayton State. Then I'll retake the TEAS this summer and apply to GPC and Clayton State for the spring.
Ahhh! April 30 seems so far away! I tell myself that it won't be so bad if I don't get into GPC and end up accepted to Clayton St. because at least at Clayton State I will come out with a Bachelor's degree in the same amount of time. That's what I tell myself so I don't feel so bad.
Adorable42181, that's awesome that you home school your children! I love it. You have your hands full!
Yeah I kind of feel the same way as you...I got 79/advanced score of the teas v...people say they look more at the anatomy grades and how many retakes you have but I just don't feel great about this...I will be sad even though I am trying to prepare myself and make plans to go another route if I need to...but yeah april 30th is a long ways away whats worse is that I never received my letter stating the status of my application and had to email the nursing dept, i think they put the wrong zip code, so now im worried what if they send the letter again and I don't get it...i would hate to email the nursing dept again just so they tell me that I was rejected :crying2: that would add insult to injury! anyway good luck!
Congrats 3TimesACharm!!! I had a similar TEAS score and GPA so I had a feeling you would get in!! I know it feels amazing!! Well relish the moment and enjoy every bit of your time right now before Fall gets here. Your days are about to get so busy!
Some advice on books -
You can get your Fundamentals book for cheap on Amazon.
The med math book, you don't have to buy the latest edition, The 5th edition is the same info as the newest edition just different pages and besides Prof Bucholz, who wrote the book makes it so simple anyway. Nice to have the person that wrote the text book be your prof!! But anyhoo, there are several copies in the library that you can check out if you don't want to buy.
Good luck! I'm only in my first semester but if I can answer any questions for you let me know!
